I'll get the DTaP shot to have it removed.

Are there more girls here who skip the pertussis (k) part of the DTaP vaccine?
I've decided to give our girl only the DT vaccine instead of DTaP.
So to leave out the whooping cough part.
It seems you can get the whooping cough vaccine separately.
Because I find it too intense to have so many diseases at once. So I'm leaving out the pertussis.
We have 3 girls.
Our oldest daughters were vaccinated later, at 7 months.
We agreed with the pediatrician's office to have one shot per visit, with at least 5 weeks in between.
That worked out so well for us
That we're going to do the same with our third princess now
I was wondering if there are more moms who skip the whooping cough vaccine?
You can always get it separately later anyway.

Hi! No, I actually just let Eleanor get all the vaccinations she’s supposed to have, and on schedule too. Maybe I should look into it more since I’ve been hearing more about later vaccines and refusing shots, etc. I never really thought about it before; I had all the shots myself and never had any issues. Eleanor hasn’t had any problems after her shots either. But I’ll keep an eye on this topic. Interesting!

    Hi Chantieee,

I can imagine you never really thought about it before.
But it's a shame that the health center (consultatiebureau)
doesn't give parents any info about the other side of the shot.
And that you're not told you have a choice.
As a human, you don't naturally have to deal with 2 or more diseases at the same time either.
But they give little ones 3 diseases in 1 shot or 2 shots at once, so they're rid of them faster.
    It also costs less.
But such a tiny body has to process all of that.
I think it's fairer if they inform parents better about this,
so that parents can make a choice
whether they want to delay it or not.

Madelene, could you explain your plan?
I want to do the same myself, but I have no idea how to approach it.
My sister also had her boys vaccinated later and differently.
I refuse to fill my little one up with junk later on.
Thanks in advance. Greetings, Elvie Smits

Elvie, we did it this way with our two oldest girls, and now again with our third girl, Jasmijn.
We only start her vaccinations when Jasmijn is 8 or 9 months old.
But then not 2 or multiple shots at once.
No, we choose 1 shot per appointment.
And a long time between the shots, at least 5 weeks.
    We left out the BMR.
We might give that later separately at the GP.
So not as a cocktail BMR, but separately.
And for the DTP, we take out the K.
And then we only want the DTP for Jasmijn.
Too many vaccinations at such a young age can cause damage and developmental disorders.
And also ADHD, all kinds of allergies.
How nice, Elvie, that you're also thinking consciously about this.
And that your sister does it that way too.
I hope I explained it clearly for you?
