Ah, okay. Are you really disappointed, or is it not that bad?

I’m having an ultrasound next Tuesday. I’m not expecting much since I still have no symptoms. I’ll be glad when it’s over.

And did you have the ultrasound for Saartje? I'm really curious!

On the one hand, it's a disappointment, but I feel much more at ease now because at least I have clarity. We'll see how things go from here.

    Hey Miesje,

Tuesday, June 14th I have the ultrasound. So I have to be patient for a little longer, grrrrrrr. That’s just not what I want.

Yeah, I totally get it. Maybe it’s nice to get a normal cycle first. I’m actually really scared again that something will go wrong because it’s so soon after the miscarriage.

    I’ll keep you posted!

Ooh, so a few more days to wait... It feels so long, right... Pff, I found that really tough last time too.

I understand you're scared, and I think you'll feel that way anyway after having a miscarriage. But having more bleeding than usual doesn't mean it'll go wrong this time. I don't think that plays a role at all. It'll be fine!

I'm currently wondering whether to start using ovulation tests in a week. I never used them before my miscarriage, but maybe I want to start now. Have you had any experience with this?
  5. saartje82 #25

    Hi Miesje,

Yeah, it really does take a long time. I’m starting to feel more and more pregnant, which gives me a bit more hope.

I once tried using ovulation tests, but they never turned positive for me. However, I did try calculating my cycle and got pregnant right away.

The best thing you can do is measure your temperature rectally every morning. If it goes up, then you’re fertile.

    Love, Sara
  6. Lea #26

Yeah, I’ve heard that too—you’re supposed to keep an eye on your temperature. But they say you should measure at the same time every day and after the same amount of activity, which sounds pretty tricky to me...

Maybe I should try both: ovulation tests and temperature tracking. I do have an app on my phone, but I really want to know without waiting a whole month if things are still the same as before the miscarriage.

It’s nice that you’re starting to feel more pregnant! I’m sure everything’s fine . Any symptoms? Just two more nights to sleep, and then it’s Tuesday.

    Hi Miesje,

Had a lot of stomach pain today and went to the hospital. Unfortunately, I'm not pregnant. My body is still confused from the miscarriage.

    Now waiting for my period.

    Love, Sara

    Hi Sara,

Oh, what a disappointment, I guess .. I'm really disappointed for you, it's such a shame, I had hoped so much for you. It's so annoying that your body is so confused, especially if it keeps going on like that. I hope you get your period soon, that gave me some peace of mind too.

    Take it easy!

    Love, Miesje

Thank you so much, dear Miesje!

    Hi Saartje,

How are you doing now? Have you gotten your period yet?
I hope so, because waiting is really nothing.

    Love, Miesje
  11. saartje82 #31

    Hey Miesje,

Nope, unfortunately not :-( I lost a little bit of colored mucus this week, but nothing significant.

I'll call the hospital again on Monday.

    How are you doing?

    Saar
  12. Lea #32

Aah, that's so annoying that it's not continuing.

I'm doing well, though. I just ovulated, so now it's two weeks of waiting. I'm curious if it'll be something this time.
  13. saartje82 #33

    Hi Miesje,

How exciting! I'll be cheering for you! I'm still not on my period :-(.

Hi Dookie; I understand your hesitation. It might be good to rest a bit. But on the other hand, it's no drama if you get pregnant right away; the hospital told me that. I had a miscarriage on April 19th and still haven't had my period since :-(

    Best,

    Sara

Oh Sara, I hope it happens soon for you...
Are you guys trying now or are you waiting for your period?

My NOD is coming up on Wednesday. I think I can't wait and will do an early pregnancy test first thing tomorrow morning. I don't really have symptoms, but I didn't have them last time either. Only sore breasts, and I'm afraid that's not a good sign. The last times I had sore breasts, I got my period; when I was pregnant, I had no issues at all.
  15. Lea #35

I think I tested positive this morning.. I personally find the line very faint, but the girls here on the forum think it's quite clear.

So I'm being cautious, secretly I'm really happy! Tomorrow I hope to have a clearer test.

  16. Lea #36

And if it's clearer tomorrow, I'll do a CB test afterwards...
  17. Suuske #37

Sara, that's so frustrating that you haven't gotten your period yet! Your patience is being tested so much, right! Let that test come then, at least then you'll know where you stand and you can move on!

Miesje, I saw in the July NOD that you've already done a CB test and it said "pregnant 1-2 weeks"! Congratulations! Hope for a good implant this time!

Dookie, my gyn back then told me that you don't have to wait for a round belly for your body. Once you ovulate again, your body is ready again. But you should do what feels right for you!

Hopefully you'll both get a good implant soon, Sara and Dookie!

    Miesje,

Have you taken a Clearblue test yet? I'm sooooo curious!

    Rooting for you!

    xxxx
  19. Lea #39

    Aah thank you Saartje!
    I'm pregnant!

I couldn't avoid the Clearblue, haha—it was immediately very clear.
It's quite nerve-wracking. And now the days until the first ultrasound seem to be creeping by again.
We have our first ultrasound on August 1st.

    How are you doing?

    Thank you Suuske!
  20. saartje82 #40

Yessssss what good news, Miesje! So happy for you!

I still haven't gotten my period. It was driving me crazy, but now I've really dug into Fajah Lourens' Killer Body Motivation book. I'm working out a lot, eating well, and trying not to think too much about getting my period.

Rooting for you for August 1st!

    xxxxx

    Sara
