Help!!
I'm new here, so I'll introduce myself briefly. I'm married, a mom to Liam, and we're expecting our second child in May. A girl. But my husband and I can't agree on a name. Help!! We love short names. Unfortunately, many names we like are already taken in our immediate circle
Names on our list: Danee, Yara, Lauren, and Day.
But the doubt remains. It also has to sound good with Liam... Sigh....

Yara without a doubt
That's the name of our oldest princess.
I always get nice reactions to her name.
So yes, I'd go for that name -

Oh, my husband suggested the name Yara to me.
He thought it was a beautiful name
and asked if I liked it too?
I said yes, very beautiful.
I found it immediately a beautiful, special name.
Only with this third pregnancy, we couldn't agree on a name.
Fortunately, we finally settled on a name now.
That's good too, since my due date is March 18th.
But as I feel it in my body,
with light practice contractions, I'll probably give birth earlier.
So relieved that we finally have a name.
And with my second pregnancy, I pushed for the name
I wanted, stuck to my guns,
and that's exactly what it became.
So I got my way.
Sorry, a bit of a long story.

My husband likes Danee or Day the most. But somehow, I don't think Danee and Liam sound that great together.
Anyway, we're open to other names too, so suggestions are welcome! Haha -

Liam and Lauren sound a bit like "jut en jul" to me, even though they don't look very similar, it's still a really nice name. I don't think Day is beautiful, but Danee works and Yara is great.

Romée Esmee Madée Ronja Bo Amber Noa Teddie Zara Yuna Kate Isa Iza Bobby Ivy Pippa Fenna
Oh and Mila, because it's made up of the same letters as Liam... -

Mila, Ivy, and Evy are already out since they’re already forgiven in our immediate circle. We also like Amy, but a good friend’s sister lost a daughter at birth with the name Amy. They’re far enough from us, but we still keep thinking about it whenever we hear the name. We both don’t really like Yuna. Isn’t Danthé a boy’s name now?

Day is really beautiful to me, but my husband thinks it's tricky, especially if your daughter ends up working or having contacts abroad.
Yara is also gorgeous.
I also love short names myself. Liv, Lizz, Jazz, or something like that.

A combination of Yara and Danee isn't really an option because a friend has named her daughter Jade. So that would be too similar. We've also been thinking that Day might not be practical for later, so your husband has a point there! Liv might still be an idea. Liam and Liv... I'll suggest it here.
