Hi, hey, oh my, you’ve been through quite a bit too, huh! It’s really brave of you to share this! I’m so happy for you both that despite not really being ready before, you now want to go for it. It’s great that you’re both on the same page and that you have such loving support from your partner, because you really need that right now. And don’t feel guilty about the abortion, even though it’s incredibly hard. At that time, you weren’t ready, you weren’t prepared, and you were still so young. Plus, you weren’t with your partner anymore, so you would’ve been facing it alone, which would’ve been really tough. But now you have a loving partner, and now you’re ready! What I find incredibly coincidental and funny is that you got a star tattoo as a reminder of your baby!! Why do you think I named myself Ster (Star)...? Because after the death and birth of my son, I said that my son is the most beautiful star in the sky, so when I see that beautiful star shining at night, I think it’s my son watching over us. I also want to get a star tattoo as a reminder of my son, so I find this really funny and coincidental! If everything goes well and we have a baby, I’ll tell him/her later about his/her big brother. He will always live on in our hearts, and he’s also in our home. We’ve made a special corner for him because he truly belongs with us. So his urn, a lock of hair, photos, his foot and handprints, and the ultrasound pictures are displayed in that beautiful corner. His brother or sister will see that later too. My first child will never be forgotten and will always live in our hearts, and I’ll always be able to talk about him with my second child. I’ll also be honest and say that I haven’t shared my story with anyone in such detail as I have with you here. Funny, right? When it’s anonymous, it’s easier to tell a stranger It also gives you a nice feeling to be able to share your story. Well, girl, lots of strength and success with everything! Lots of love, Ster

hi ladies, oh wow, now that you say it, yes, your name actually wasn't really thought through... if you look at it that way it's quite funny, yes I think it's super how you describe the corner of your son, really beautiful, I wouldn't know a better way to bring him home!! it just brings tears to my eyes... it really makes me quiet!! this isn't from my little one, but it still gets to me a bit!
yes, now we are fully prepared for it. at first it was a bit hard to swallow and I had to think about it, but I immediately said whatever they say or do, I won't let them take him away again! I suffered enough then and my boyfriend felt the same! and he's already counting down the days... and like you said, I wasn't ready back then, too young and alone, so I couldn't give that little one what he deserved! but it stays in the back of your mind though... when people talk about abortion somewhere, I still have to swallow a lump and it gets hard for me...
and like you also say, you can sometimes talk about it more easily anonymously! and also, you know, here you are among all moms and future moms and moms like you who had to give up a child, and they understand you much easier here and respect your opinion and what you did or have done! and in your own environment, people often look at you with a sour face when you say something like that.

you too, lots of strength and definitely enjoy!! and if you want to talk, you know where to find me, right!
    lots of love, Daphne

I'll definitely try to enjoy myself and if something comes up, I'll write about it here for sure.
Same to you! Wishing you strength too, and I hope you can enjoy yourself as much as possible. If anything comes up, feel free to share it here too!

Hi Ster, thanks! I'll definitely write if something comes up. Never leave it hanging, because that's the least you can do, right? Just writing back already feels better
We'll definitely enjoy it as long as we can... because it's getting shorter now...

    Lots of love, Daphne x

Hi Molly, thank you so much for your sweet reply! And of course you're welcome to comment! I have to be honest, when I read your message again, it brought tears to my eyes... I found your message so sweet. It's probably pregnancy hormones making you extra emotional But anyway, thank you! And you too, lots of strength with your pregnancy, okay! Hope everything is going well and that you can enjoy it despite any pregnancy discomforts!

Hi dear Ster, I just read your message, what fantastic news! A twin!! That's really a sign that it's meant to be!! Oh, I'm so happy for you, it brings tears to my eyes!! Must have been quite nerve-wracking at the ultrasound, right Oh, really super super nice news, two for the price of one, let's say.. Their brother up there will be proud of them and of mom and dad!!

Everything is perfect here... I'm now 31 weeks and 6 days Almost 32 actually.. but they keep changing the due dates here, so I'm swinging from Jan 7 to Jan 21, so I don't even know anymore haha^^ Well, yesterday we went for a check-up.. and we finally saw our girl again after 2 months.. and how much she's grown, oh my... meanwhile about 42cm, it was 41 point something.... and a bit more than 1.700kg, it also showed she had hair, you could see her moving so beautifully, they were already 1cm long, so our girl will have a beautiful head of hair at birth, right
The countdown begins and doesn't begin at the same time... because I still don't know exactly which date to really watch out for The first time it was Jan 14, the second Jan 21, and now the last time at 28 weeks it was Jan 7, so just looking forward to January It's certain she should stay until after the holidays, then she's welcome to come haha...

One more super big congratulations to you guys with the twins! Really super news...
And there's really nothing in your family further back either? Because here it is in the family on both mom's and dad's side... my dad's mom is a twin and my dad is also a twin And the father passes the gene on to his daughter...
Here it's luckily just one, because I'm already ready to pop (uploaded a new photo)

Lots of love, wishing you all the success with your pregnancy and double enjoyment, girl! You deserve it! Really want it for you...

Hi Daphne, thank you so much for your incredibly sweet congratulations!!! It really touched me that someone who doesn't even know me could be so happy for me!

Nope, twins definitely aren't in the family... not further back either, and you know it's not from very far back either, but from the family I have and know, it doesn't happen. It is a bit exciting though, because apparently if you're pregnant with twins, there can be many complications and everything hits you twice as hard. I also have to go to the hospital for check-ups because everything needs to be monitored closely. The advantage of that is that they often do ultrasounds so I can see them often! If everything stays okay until the end, they will be born earlier than a singleton. At some point they run out of space and that's why they come earlier. Well, I find it nice but also a bit exciting and scary. Hope everything goes smoothly. And indeed, as you say, if everything goes well, you get two for the price of one hihihihi.

Nice and beautiful new photo of you and your beautiful belly! It's going hard now! And how nice that you could see she already has nice little hairs, then she'll indeed get a beautiful full head of hair Shame you don't know the exact date then.., but as you say, it's in January anyway (I'm also a birthday person then, so she'll be a Capricorn) and after the holidays, you can at least plan for that I'm also super happy for you that things are going so well with you and that your pregnancy is progressing smoothly! Enjoy it, girl, and let yourself be pampered during the holidays too, because then you'll really shine

Thanks again for your sweet reply!

    Hi star,
yes, that’s such wonderful news for you!! You’ve already been through so much, right, girl!! You truly deserve this happiness...
Yes, with twins there are more possible complications, but mostly everything goes well They will be born a bit earlier and might need to stay in an incubator or under the blue lamp for a bit, but overall twins do really well after birth I’m glad they’re following up with you closely and that you’re getting an ultrasound each time now, so you can enjoy your two little ones... hihi, it’s blissful to see them together like that, I think...

    Enjoy it doubly
As for the due date here, it would either be a Capricorn or an Aquarius If it comes on January 21st, then it’s an Aquarius just like dad.. but if it comes earlier, it’s a Capricorn Oh, you know, I’m holding onto late January as the due date—if she comes earlier then, it’s a lovely gift and I won’t have to keep wondering when she’ll arrive... I’ll let nature take its course... For now, she’s still going past her due date, which dad is quietly hoping for, so she’ll wait 9 more days for him Then he’ll have his birthday too, haha...
    But that probably won’t happen

Lots of love and hugs to your three!!
  10. Ster75 Guest #30

    Thanks again!
And you're doing great, just think she'll come at the end of January and if she comes earlier, that's a bonus. I also believe that the longer she stays in your belly, the better, right? So what you're saying, just let nature take its course. Good positive attitude!
And I can imagine that dad secretly hopes she'll be born on the same day as dad.. 2 birthdays on 1 day hihihi.
Sounded nice what you wrote.., 'for you 3'
    Thanks!
    Love Ster

You're doing great! It's such a positive mindset to just let nature take its course! And it's smart to assume it'll happen around the end of January—if she comes earlier, that's a bonus, but if you expect her at the beginning of January and she doesn't show up, that can feel frustrating. So it's a smart and positive way to think about it! And I can totally imagine that dad is secretly hoping she'll be born on his birthday—it doesn't get much better than that, right! But having them close together is nice too, because then you get two celebration days!
Thanks again for reassuring me that things often go well with a twin pregnancy!
    Sounds lovely, 'you three'..
    Thanks!

Hi Daphne, thanks for the reassurance that things often go well with a twin pregnancy and can end up well too! Positive attitude is good, letting nature take its course. If you really expect them to come at the end of January, it'll probably be a relief. But if you think they'll come at the beginning of January and they don't, that can be frustrating. So keep a positive mindset! And I can imagine dad secretly hopes they'll be born on his birthday. But having them close together is nice too, because then you have two celebration days! Sounds lovely, you three!! Love Ster

Hi sweetie, haha I thought I was seeing things or not 3 messages in a row
Well, it definitely arrived now, right girl
Yeah, let nature take its course and look forward to our girl as late as possible. I think that's the only way to wait for her arrival without too much tension hihi I definitely have a positive attitude, you know, that's how it should be because otherwise you just keep wandering around in life...
So how are you doing, girl? And your two little ones?? I also thought it sounded nice for the three of you After all, you're three now, girl Enjoy it and keep me updated on the two little ones, I'm just as curious as you are, hihi
Yeah, I'd like our girl to have a different birthday than papa Then it's a bit nicer, otherwise they have to share the attention on one day...haha
Lots of love and hugs from us two to you three!
  15. Ster75 Guest #35

Hi.., just a quick message from me. I just reread my post and noticed a little mistake..
In that little poem, it naturally said, "you can't hear us yet, you can't see us yet, etc." I guess I still need to get used to the fact that there are two of them, hehehe. But that's how it was written anyway..
    Love, Ster
  16. Mommy-Of-Nyana #36

    Hi Ster,

It's so nice of you to keep me updated! It's such lovely news to read!! You must feel so relieved now... hearing about those two beating hearts and getting that reassurance that everything is okay with the two little ones... it's normal that you're getting tired, girl, but those two little ones will definitely require a lot of energy from you!! But you know where that energy is going, so it's not so bad, and you can still enjoy it in the meantime!! Oh, it was super sweet to receive that text with the frame; it brought tears to my eyes when I read it No wonder your parents got emotional too, hehe... I can totally believe they were so happy for you, considering your history, girl! And I'm crossing my fingers that everything continues to go perfectly as it is now!! Just a little patience for now, and in two weeks you can admire your little ones again; they're keeping a close eye on you now, right! And the blood test will surely be fine too, I'm sure of it, especially since your little ones are doing so well We had a detailed ultrasound at 20 weeks that lasted more than an hour because our girl wasn't lying in the right position haha.. First we spent half an hour, then we had to go for a walk for half an hour and drink some cola, and then another 45 minutes of ultrasound until she finally got into the right position With the result that dad had a process behind the window!! haha I'm curious about your detailed ultrasound Will you let me know?

Here everything is running smoothly "during the day anyway" At night it's a different story; I get heartburn... and nowadays I'm also getting period pains again...
I went back for a check-up on Nov 20, and our girl was lying nicely turned and could stay like that She was perfect... she weighed just under 1.800kg and was almost 42 cm long... and in the amniotic fluid we could already see her hair, it was already 1 cm long. Really crazy to see but oh so beautiful
Now she's been very active inside for 2 days and sometimes it really hurts my back; she stretches an arm or leg and moves so hard suddenly that everything shifts, and then I have to push her to the side a bit With the result that I get it back twice as bad in another spot haha.... and a lady with character already... she'll be like her dad...

Well girl, now you enjoy your pregnancy doubly hard!!
Lots of big hugs and love from us two to your three
  17. Ster75 Guest #37

Yeah, it’s a bit harder at night, luckily not all day though.. And she’s naturally getting less space, so if she’s moving so much it can hurt quite a bit. But once you can hold her in your arms, you’ll forget all that pain you’ve had, really! It’s good that everything was so good at that last ultrasound you had! And seeing her little hairs dancing there, hehehe, so cute!
I still remember that 20-week ultrasound from my previous pregnancy. That’s also to check if everything is okay, if he/she doesn’t have an open spine, etc., and if all limbs are fine. But I’m still too early for that now.. In 2 weeks, I have a 30-minute ultrasound to basically see if everything is going well with the twins and to calculate the exact due date. He already mentioned that they’ll probably need to be delivered 3 to 4 weeks earlier due to the lack of space they’ll have then, so that’s why everything needs to be calculated properly, but of course, it’s still fun and exciting! According to my calculations, I’m only about 2 months along now, still very early, and I know a lot can still happen, but well, after what I’ve been through, I also know that a lot can still happen towards the end. We’re naturally very happy with everything, but we also take everything into account.
Well, girl, hang in there! Maybe a nice warm hot water bottle against your belly at night will help with those period-like pains, etc. Feels nice.. And a nice cup of warm milk before bed often helps too. Hang in there a bit longer, girl, and enjoy it as long as you can because before you know it, it’ll be over and you’ll have that little beautiful girl in your arms!
Love from our 3 to your 2!

    Hi Ster,

I just read your topic for the first time and wanted to congratulate you on your twins!!
    That's amazing, two at once.

I hope you have a smooth and lovely pregnancy!

    Warm regards, Dani
  19. Mommy-Of-Nyana #39

    Hi Ster,

Oh, I actually overlooked that one (People tend to read what they want to see, you know I didn't notice it was wrong..

Yes, this little lady here is keeping well inside, but I feel at ease knowing things are going well because, as you say, you never really have 100% certainty throughout your whole pregnancy, do you? You only feel truly at ease when they're in your arms, right? And you can understand that, of course, since you've had to endure so much already! And I can totally understand that you're happy about everything now..

Yes, my ultrasound at 12 weeks also took about half an hour.. but then they don't see quite as much, right? You can see them, but you can't really make out much yet, like what they'll look like, etc. But you do get the reassurance that things are going well at that moment Our little girl was also happily kicking around in my belly at 12 weeks.. but those 20 weeks are somehow more special, I think. Then you really see everything; it's no longer a little shrimp, but a real little person you can see...

I'm looking forward to it for you, hope the time flies by nicely so you'll have your 2 little ones soon. I'm rooting for everything to go perfectly for you both.. And 3 weeks isn't that long, right? 4 weeks will pass too. They are, of course, smaller and lighter than a singleton. But by then they're strong enough to handle this big, scary outside world..

Do let me know when you have your due date, and of course keep me posted here I find it so lovely... For me, it's almost over and I'm afraid I'm going to miss it...

Love from our 2 for your 3, and a big hug for the 2 little ones
  20. Ster75 Guest #40

Hi Dani, that was so sweet of you!
    Thank you so much!
You too, have a lovely pregnancy, I think you're only a few weeks away..
As long as it's still manageable..., enjoy it while you can!!
    Love, Ster
