Hi ladies,
What do you think? Can Bobbie be a girl's name?

    Anything's possible, but I don't like it.

    So lovely!!

So fun! The name Bobbie comes across as confident, tough, and sporty to me...
  4. Irma 1987 #5

    No, it's a real boy's name, sorry
  5. madelene #6

    10 times nothing, sorry.
I also personally think it's more of a dog's name.
But definitely not for a girl.
But that's just my opinion, of course, people have different views on this

I just find it a bit childish for when the child grows up. Bobbie is, for me, a pet name for a little kid.
  7. Hummel Guest #8

Bobbie/Bobby is indeed the diminutive form of the name Robert(a).
  8. Hummel Guest #9

A Bobby is also the name for an English police officer.
  9. Vivian #10

As long as your last name isn't "Eden," it could work!
  10. Linda #11

    Haha Vivian!

I think it's nice too! Although I find the spelling 'Bobbi' a bit more girly!

    Thanks for thinking along!

Alternatives are e.g. Jip, Kris, Sam, so we like unisex names...
  12. kruimel #13

Ooh, I think that's really nice too!
  13. madelene #14

I think Kris is nice for a girl.
    And Sam isn't either.
Jip reminds me of Jip and Janneke.
And Sam is more like a short form of Samantha.
Kris is really nice, smooth and tough.
For a girl with character and spirit

Just do it! But maybe Bobbi is indeed a good choice.
  15. Irma 1987 #16

    Then Sam, Sammy, Samantha

    I think Sammy is nice.
Not Samantha. I love short and tough names. Max two syllables.

Liv, Do, Daan, Bo, and Pien could also work.
  17. Irma 1987 #18

    Bo is cute
  18. Hummel Guest #19

I think Pien has a certain charm
  19. kruimel #20

    We have a Saar.
If this pregnancy is also a girl, it'll be Juul. Fien and Teuntje are still on our girls' list too!
