We've talked about this so many times, and every time something happens again...
He knows what's bothering me, but he just ignores it...
Everyone acts like I'm the bad guy and they're doing nothing wrong, and he keeps agreeing with them, even though he knows he's wrong because he's hiding it from me...
I think things are only getting worse, and there's no hope for improvement anymore.

Well, I really wish you lots of strength and wisdom...
And I hope you'll look forward to a beautiful and happy life together with your son...
I also hope you'll find happiness again... If this is all there is...
Too bad, because apart from the drama, I think you were a nice couple... Big hug

    Thank you!
We were indeed made for each other..
And two kids from two different dads is enough.. I don't think I ever want another man in my life again.. It will probably just hurt once more..

Girl, that really doesn't mean anything. I can tell you that I have 3 boys from 3 different fathers, and I'm now with the father of the youngest boy. I always used to say I don't need a man anymore, but this one is truly different, and we get along really well.

After all the drama with his family, it's finally nice now. We enjoy each other, and it's only now that it's truly fun...

But I've also had times when I felt terrible, completely broken by sadness...

But I do understand your point of view...

Love, and if you want to chat more, share your story, or just let out your sadness, I (or we) are here for you

    That's so sad.

No matter how much you love your partner/friend, this isn't sustainable. You also have your own life; has it always been like this??

Don't you feel like you're slowly drifting apart? Every day is a confrontation because, well, you live right across from each other.

I think I'd really want to move as soon as possible.

I don't really know what to say.

    So much strength, girl!
That’s really tough for you to go through, and as for your boyfriend, he’s such an idiot! He should put his own family first, not his family. They’d love that, and now he’s giving it to them. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Yes, family is also very important, sure, but your own family always comes first.
Wishing you lots of strength, girl, and I hope happiness will soon come your way!

    Hey thanks everyone!
We are indeed growing apart a lot even though we try to hold on.. now they've made sure that on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve I'll be home alone with my son while he goes over to their place to celebrate..
We also have serious arguments multiple times a day and it always ends up about something his mom did or didn't do..

Pfff I'm trying to stay strong but deep down I know it won't last much longer ????

What bitterness, seriously, this is terrible. Can't you go to someone else?
  9. princess started this #29

Yeah, I just decided to stay an extra day after Christmas dinner at my side of the family and go stay over there with my son again? He loves it!
  10. * #30

Oh, that's great! I hope you'll have a lot of fun there and enjoy it thoroughly

Thank you so much! I hope so too.

    Hi hi!
What a terrible situation! Luckily, I have a really super clean family!

    How are you doing now?

I wanted to stay with my boyfriend, but we're no longer in a relationship. We argue horribly every day about his mom, who still doesn't think she's the one doing things wrong. Now they're even accusing me of being responsible for his dad having a heart attack.
My boyfriend still falls for it completely and lets her interfere in our lives.
I'm actively looking for an apartment so I can move out, but it's not easy.

Oh, that's so annoying! I hope you'll soon have a place where you can relax and unwind!! Terrible, such in-laws
  15. * #35

Oh, that's so terrible to read...
I hope everything really works out well for you.
Have you figured out anything for yourself yet?
  16. princess started this #36

No.. I have to wait until he decides whether he wants to sell the house together or buy me out, and mister keeps putting it off..
I want to stay close to my oldest, who goes to school nearby, and my work is also in the area..
Something will surely come my way =)
  17. * #37

You're doing great, keep staying positive...
I hope it shows up on your path soon..
    Big www. Hug for you

I might get really depressed, but I need to stay strong for my oldest and be there for him he =)

Have you ever thought about relationship counseling or therapy? It can be incredibly helpful if a professional takes a look at how you (all) are dealing with the situation. Such a person can sometimes bring to light very useful things that you can't say to each other or that you can't put into words (for example, because you yourself, or the other person, are too angry or too defensive). They often also have handy ways to handle these kinds of difficult situations, so that everyone at least understands each other better.

Let's assume, for example, that your in-laws/sister (even if they are screamingly annoying) want the best for their child/brother. Maybe they would be willing to cooperate. They might not see their own meddling, or when they are crossing your boundaries. Perhaps an outsider, who is calm and impartial, can show them that. There's a good chance their meddling can be turned into help that you can actually be happy with.

Even if you still find them annoying (probably), you'll likely come away with tools to deal with them better. This also applies to your husband, it seems to me...

It's an investment, but it seems more than worth it, especially with a little one on the way!

Our little man was born by now and already 2 months old. He came a month early due to all the stress, and that really opened my partner's eyes... We're still together and so far everything is going pretty well. He talked to his parents, and they're now doing their best not to be too overbearing and to give all the grandkids equal attention. My sister-in-law became the godmother of our boy because my partner insisted. She's still being a bit possessive... whenever she's near him, she has to hold him, give him a bottle, and change his diaper, and then he won't come near me anymore... She was even upset when she heard I was going to breastfeed because then she'd never get to give him a bottle... She's still being a bit rude to me too... Hopefully, that'll turn around, otherwise, she won't see her godson much...
