Can I suggest a third option?

I’d go with Delaila Valentina. The è isn’t really necessary, and this is the easiest to spell.

I actually think the dash has a certain charm, hihi, but you're right, it's not necessary.

Don't let me stop you, okay?
A hyphen can sometimes be tricky on official documents.

    Yes, that's true, yes.

I'd go for Dèlaila Valentina! Such a beautiful name!
  6. Sylke Guest #7

I think Delayla is the cutest name.

I think they're both so beautiful hihi
  8. Emily Guest #9

I'd go for Delayla! Beautiful, strong name!
  9. Hummel Guest #10

I'd go with Delaila. Everyone's got a Y in their name these days instead of an I, so cliché.
  10. s Guest #11

I totally agree with you! That hyphen is unnecessary, so I find it superfluous and too much. And exactly what Hummel said, everyone nowadays uses 'y' instead of 'i'. So I'm going with Delaila

I don't remember anymore haha please still respond

Other names that are close to them are also welcome.
  12. s Guest #13

But isn't it not about what others find pretty? Everyone has a different opinion, which is a good thing, haha. It's your child, so YOU should choose which name feels best for you and your girl. You shouldn't let someone else's opinion dictate that. Just follow your gut.

    I'd love some more suggestions.
  14. ii Guest #15

    Lena
    Delilah (Dutch pronunciation, so Dee-lila).
    Marilène

Suggestions for similar names then. Like Delaila, as I already mentioned.
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

You wrote that you've already known for 1.5 years that you want to name your daughter Delaila Valentine. If you've known for so long, I wouldn't ask for any other suggestions.
  17. jessie95 started this #18

Yeah, I thought I knew for sure haha, but I’d also really like to hear other people’s opinions and suggestions hihi, it’s not a big deal, right??
  18. sunny Guest #19

It's sad that we live in a time when many people value someone else's opinion more than their own feelings. About everything. And yes, even when it comes to something as personal as your child's name! As already said above, you and your partner have known for 1.5 years how you want to name your child, and yet you ask for other people's opinions? The most important thing is really your opinion and that of your partner. People should focus more on themselves in life instead of seeking out others' opinions. Especially when it comes to such personal matters. So sad again.

Sorry that we've been living like this for a while, where everything you say and ask has to be commented on.
I ask something and if you think it's nonsense, you just don't respond. Is that really so hard?
If I still want name suggestions, let me be. It's no big deal, right?
