What are your names then, Madelene, or is that still a secret?
  2. kim #22

I really like Marley or Marly. If it's a girl, I'd want to name her that too. Unfortunately, my boyfriend isn't so enthusiastic.

A boy's name would've been so much easier for us... We already knew that, since we wanted to name him after my late brother. But yeah, we thought it was a girl too, hahaha, and there you go I'm 28 weeks now, so I still have a while to go.

Can't you transform your brother's name into a girl's name that you both find pretty?
  5. meisje started this #25

No, unfortunately not, my brother's name was Bjorn
  6. Hummel Guest #26

Bjorn is indeed tricky to make into a girl's name...

    Beatrice
    Beatrijs
    Brenda
    Bente
    Bronwyn

I've quickly put together a list of Scandinavian girl names since Bjorn is also Scandinavian:

    Bryndis
    Brynja
    Britta
    Brindee
    Brigitte
    Bodine

I want to thank you all again for helping us think it through!
We're finally 100% sure, no Marley! We're going to name our daughter Luna after all.
As a middle name, we're considering Eowyn, but we're still hesitating because of the initials, L.E. With a French last name... But well, I don't think that's the most important thing... We finally have her name

    Glad you're out!

I think Eowyn is nice too. If you're unsure about the initials, you can just make up a third name.

    Lovely, Luna!
    How do you pronounce Eowyn?
  11. jessie95 #31

It's quite nice, L.E. as initials, especially if your last name is French, hehe.
  12. ii Guest #32

I think L.E. doesn't work out because the baby is a girl and L.A. would fit better.

Try Arwen instead of Eowyn, it's also from Lord of the Rings and then you get L.A.
  13. jessie95 #33

Haha oh yeah, I don't understand French at all

I also think Arwen is a beautiful name, but the only reason we're considering a second name is because I really love Eowyn too.
You actually pronounce it pretty much as it's written.. Eowin
