Toxic substances man

Hi!

I have a burning question... My partner and I really want a baby.
He works in a factory where he comes into contact with toxic substances.
He always wears protective gear and his blood is tested every few months...
Still, I'm worried. I'm afraid this might affect his fertility or the baby when I'm pregnant.

Does anyone have experience with this or tips?

That's really a question you should take to your GP, eh..

    Hi Anonymous,

I don't think you need to worry about that. I don't work with toxic substances myself, but I do work with radiation. Plus, I've learned quite a bit about chemicals during my training.

What I've also noticed in my own work is that working with toxic or hazardous substances is often made very safe through all the laws and regulations you have to comply with. The inspections are probably also a result of legislation, but they repeatedly show that everything is fine with the employee.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. If it's bothering you, there's definitely an occupational health and safety officer at his workplace where he can get information. Of course, you can also call your GP.

Hopefully, this reassures you a bit!
