Getting pregnant

Hi everyone, I’d like to share how I’m feeling and get your thoughts.

I stopped taking the pill on August 4th and then got my period. I took a test to figure out when my ovulation would be, and it said August 23rd. My boyfriend and I had sex every day for a week.

I had some stabbing pains in my stomach the day before, the day of, and two days after my ovulation. Since yesterday, I’ve also noticed that my belly is swollen and the area from my pubic bone up to my stomach feels really hard. I’ve also been getting itchy on my belly and breasts. I haven’t noticed any other symptoms yet. Could I be pregnant? I keep going back and forth—sometimes I think I am, and then I doubt it. I really want a little one. I’ve been trying for a long time, and my boyfriend and I finally decided to really go for it. Hopefully, you can give me some answers. Thanks in advance!

That's so hard to say. You can actually notice symptoms quite early, or not at all, and still be pregnant. With my second pregnancy, I noticed symptoms very early on—dizziness and more hunger—but this time around with the third, I didn't notice anything at all. I didn't have any discomfort, felt like I wasn't pregnant, and yet I turned out to be! I only started feeling nauseous and having sore breasts at 5 weeks. Having regular intercourse really does increase your chances of getting pregnant. I had sex every other day from day 10 to day 18, and that's how I eventually got pregnant. Good luck, and I hope it works out for you!

    Hi hi,

    Here I am again.
I was supposed to get my period this past Saturday, but as of today, nothing yet.
I read that this happens when you stop the pill because you don't get ovulation. But when I stopped my pill, about 2 weeks later I should have gotten my ovulation, and I did have some decent twinges in my belly, so I suspect I did ovulate. But now my period still hasn't started.. Pregnant or just because I stopped the pill??

    Thanks in advance
