We think Romée is a really beautiful name... but we'd like to pronounce it as Romy...... Is that okay?

    No. That won't work.

Especially because of the é (E with an acute accent), which you really pronounce as a double E. So Romée has, so to speak, three E's. Romeee then.

    I'll just do Romy then.

Hahahaha, no, that really doesn't work. You really pronounce Romée as Roo-mee.

If you want Romy, why not just Romy, or Romie?

Romee is really nice, but it’s pronounced like "Romee"! Otherwise, just go with Romy!

Yeah, a bit odd, pronounce Romee as Romy.
Romee is a nice name though!!
If you really want to write Romy, just write Romy.

I personally find Romy or Romee. Both are awful and I don't know anyone else with the name Romy or Romee. But I just find it sounds awful. And with Romy, I immediately think of cream for in the food, but tastes differ, of course Greetings, Madelene.

I know this super cheerful girl named Romy, and whenever I hear that name, I always think of her. I met her when she was 1 year old; she was a beautiful girl with lovely blonde curls.
She’s now 11 with a sparkling face. Such a lovely name.

But just go ahead and write Romy instead of Romee.

I'm not really fond of these names either...
But if you're going for it... Then Romy!
