Moms who are pregnant with a second or third child

Hi mamas,

Here it comes, I guess hormones play a role.
Although the second pregnancy was planned and wanted, I feel guilty towards my son when everything goes well, the baby arrives in March and he turns 3 in May.

How did/does your oldest experience the baby?
Not that he feels like all the attention goes to the baby, and I don't want that either.

Now, dad did take time off around the birth, and did that too.

How did you and your oldest child cope with everything?

Hi Irma, so I'm pregnant with the third one now. My kids caught wind of it during a conversation between my husband and me. I didn't expect it so soon, but to my surprise, they were really happy, especially the oldest. They find it all very exciting too. I just have to keep explaining to them that it's still a long time until the baby is born. The oldest keeps asking if the baby is coming at Christmas or after? I tell her no, dear, not until next year in the spring.

    Hi Irma.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant with our third. We already have a son who's 9 and a daughter who's 4. They're both so excited. I show them all sorts of things. Right now, the baby is as big as a grape, and that's what your brother or sister looks like now. We're also going to our first ultrasound tomorrow and we're bringing the kids along. I've explained to them that we're going to look and that we'll find out if everything is okay, and if the little heart is beating, etc. I notice that by involving the kids a lot, they really enjoy it. So if I were you, I wouldn't feel guilty at all. He's going to love it, and he'll be the big brother soon.

Wishing you lots of enjoyment during your pregnancy.
    Best wishes, Simone.

Hey. I'm now 32 weeks pregnant with our third. I already have a 7-year-old girl and a boy who's almost 4. The third one will also be a boy. It'll probably be quite busy here, but so desired.
My daughter experiences everything very consciously through her age. The youngest a bit less.
I just let the kids help out with bathing, changing, eating, etc...

It'll just be instinctive how you act, so no worries.
