name for 2nd daughter

Madée? Guest ·
What do you think of the name Madée? We already have a daughter named Amber. Now we're just debating the spelling.
Madé (I think we like this one the least because if the hyphen is missing it becomes "made" as in "made= crafted" in English)
Madée
Madee
What do you think?

That's nice. Fits perfectly with Amber.

I'd go with the spelling with double E and an accent aigu, so Madée. That fits with the feminine Renée (as opposed to the masculine René).

Thank you so much, hummel. Yes, we're thinking about that too. It looks really nice, I think.

    I'd also go for Made'e!

    not so nice
but I'm more into girl names that end in aa.
if you feel good about it, definitely go for it.

Honestly, I don’t think Madee is a nice name.
    A few more options:

    Tess (a)
    Rose or Rosa
    Lieve
    Maria
    Alicia
    Yara

Nice! I think Amber is a super name! It was at the top of our list! (We had a boy
Madée, on the other hand, I find a bit less beautiful, but it does fit well with Amber!
As for the spelling, I’d definitely go with Madée. It sounds more feminine and a bit more chic.

Thanks for all the replies. @jessica thanks for your tips, but we don't really like names ending in an 'a'. We're sticking with Madée; it was just about the spelling.

I don't think Madee is a nice name. I taught a Madé, and because of that, I associate the name with that girl. Not a good association... I think Madé looks better written than with two 'e's.

I'd go with the spelling Madee... mainly because people often forget to add the hyphen... unless you always specify it... Super cute name!! It was also on my list... Until a girl with that name came into my son's class
