Name instead of Jayla

Hi everyone, I'm back! Sorry about that. We really can't decide. I think all names starting with Jay or Jea are amazing! Especially Jayla and Jaylinn. But my son is already named Jayden, so those names are out because they seem too similar. I've already made several posts on different sites. It's driving me crazy! The names currently on our list are Vayèn, Jazzlinn, Joann, Yael, and Jenna. But I like Jayla the most. Do you have any other suggestions for me? I'm so afraid I'll regret it. Thanks in advance!

    Last try from me ;-)

    Kaileigh is pronounced keelie
Jazlinn is cool because you shorten it to jazzy

Sounds nice.. Jayden and Jazlinn or Jayden and Kaileigh.

Good luck mom until due date.

    Thanks for your reply!
    Kayleigh is already taken.
And I still think Jazzlinn is meh—I like the abbreviation Jazz, but Jazzlinn doesn’t roll off the tongue that well! It feels like I’m talking with a double tongue! With Jaylinn or Faylinn, I don’t have that problem.
Another option could be Jazzmay or Jesmay.
    But I’m still not convinced!
My husband also can’t really make the final call! I think he doesn’t want to get too involved in it wisely.
    Tricky.

    Is there anything in here?
  4. Priscil Guest #5

Yes, sure, it's nice, but it really looks too much like Jayden.

My daughter, almost 4 weeks old, is named Haley. Is that okay? You can also spell it Hailey. It fits well with Jayden.

Congratulations again on your daughter! Lovely name, but not quite "the" name for me.

    Hi Priscilla,

You really don't need to apologize. If you need help, then you need help.

I just think you need to let go of your preference for another name with Jay. You already have a Jayden, and Jayden and Jayla sound like Jut and Jul.

There are so many more beautiful sounds. Didn't you like Vayenne? I still think Jenna is nice. There's also Fabiënne or Viënna. But you still can't decide because you won't let go of Jay. You're getting in your own way.

I'm still coming up with something else besides a J as the starting letter. To help you think of something completely different:

    Lizzy
    Elora
    Ivy
    Quinty
    Luna
    Dana
    Ella
    Ava
    Kyra
    Ariëlle

And a few more to rule out, all without the starting letter J:

    Zoë
    Romy
    Indra
    Roëlle
    Naomi

    Jolie
    Joni
    Jamie
    Jenni
    Jeni

Hard to choose a name... I know all about it.
    Good luck!

Glad I don't have to apologize!
I'd rather ask my family and friends... They know us best.
But then it wouldn't be a surprise anymore.

Thanks for the comments, but I don't like any of these names.

    Yael!

Then call her Jazz(y) Jaylinn. Super tough and also sweet.
  15. Hummel Guest #16

They already have a Jayden. Adding another Jaylin does indeed have a high "Jut and Jul" ratio.

After all the threads I've started here, I just want to let you know that our daughter Vayèn was born on September 8th.
  17. ii Guest #18

    Congratulations!

Are you happy with your choice? You took a long time to think it over.
  18. J Guest #19

Jeanna? (A friend is called that, pronounced like Gina)
  19. Anonymous Guest #20

Yes, definitely very happy with her name. Although I have to say that now that I've given birth, I consciously don't look at name forums anymore, and sometimes I still see names on, for example, Facebook, and I think, wow, that name would have been nice too. But I still think Vayèn is the most beautiful.
