6th round of IUI for a 2nd child

We're now in the 6th round of IUI for our second baby.
Unfortunately, still no result.
Every month is so suspenseful again.
And every month brings that disappointment.
It's always sad holding a negative pregnancy test in your hands.
But there were also months where the pregnancy test stayed vaguely positive.
You can do so little with it.
And before you know it, you're in a new round again.
This month is different.
Many times up and down to the hospital for ultrasounds.
Really so often, I've never had it this much before.
The uterine lining kept getting thicker and was already at a good thickness 2 days ago.
But are there 1, 2, or even 3 follicles?
Every time it was different.
Many doctors are on vacation.
So you see all sorts of things passing by.
And every time it was hard to find.
Today, finally, a good ultrasound.
There are 2 follicles, one 16 and one 18.
Left and right.
I've never had this before.
So a double chance this time.
But there's also a bit of self-preservation kicking in.
It feels good, and yet something inside me says it's never going to work.
But I want to keep my spirits up.
And I think every month is another chance.
We have until December, then everything stops for us.
Will it work?
Another 2 weeks of waiting and crossing fingers for a positive test.
Everyone who's in the TTC circle wishes you so much.
You feel it all with them.
