3 days overdue, negative test

I’ve had regular 28/29-day cycles for months. According to my calendar, I should have ovulated on July 7th this month. After my period, I started taking wheat germ oil, and I got a lot of fertile mucus on July 9th, 10th, and 11th. Now, no period—it’s been 3 days late, and the test is negative. Can I know for sure that I ovulated on July 7th even without cervical mucus? Or do you absolutely need to see that mucus to confirm it? Helppp

Hi! It could also just be that your egg ruptured later. I'm not sure, but I thought the egg only ruptures after or during the appearance of fertile mucus. Maybe try again next cycle with ovulation tests. After a positive test, your egg ruptures between 24-36 hours. And even here, there can be a margin of a few days. Even if your cycle is always regular, there can still be big deviations, sometimes very unexpectedly. Or you can always skip a cycle. I wouldn't rely too much on a calendar, because from experience I know that apps or calendars can sometimes be really off; they only give averages, and every woman is so different. You can also find a lot of detailed explanations online about this. Good luck!
