How much does your baby cost per month?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been looking online for info on monthly baby costs, but it’s all over the place and quite unclear. I’m not talking about the initial baby gear expenses, but the ongoing monthly costs for your little one. Could you add up your monthly expenses and share how much your baby costs per month?

I’d love to get a clearer picture since I never seem to find consistent info on this.

Hi anon2, what I remember from my first was that we spent around €100 per month in the first few months, just on food, diapers, and wipes. Greetings!

Hi anonymous, I have 2 toddlers, but during the baby phase I never really paid attention to how much things cost. I did buy proper Pampers because I felt comfortable with them. My husband said it was nonsense, of course Pampers are Pampers. I guess I was influenced by the advertising. They got Olvarit jars, which naturally cost more than making fresh food. But I thought, at least with a jar you know exactly what vitamins they're getting. After the BV period, they also got Nutrilon follow-on milk, and later toddler milk with vitamins. Regular milk would have been cheaper, but I wanted the best for my girls. Regular milk didn't have extra vitamins like the toddler milk from Nutrilon. People around us didn't understand why we did that, isn't it expensive? Well, I thought I was doing the best for my girls. I really wouldn't know how much it all cost, but it could have been much cheaper Greetings, Madelene
