Does Lauren fit with a Frisian name?

Hi everyone,

I’m due to give birth to our second baby in October. Our first child is named Hidde.

We really like the name Lauren for a girl—do you think it fits well with Hidde?

I know they’re two separate individuals, but still, they’re brother and sister.

Thanks in advance!

    Hidde and Lauren... Nice names!
I think they go well together. I don’t see them as extreme names. Both names come across as friendly and likable to me...

    Good luck!

That sounds so lovely together!! My 3-month-old daughter is named Lauren. So you're giving me ideas for when Lauren might get a little brother someday. What a cute name!

Great, as long as you pronounce it in the Dutch way and not like "Loowren."

In Dutch, indeed, then I also find it a beautiful combination!

Fun, I say let's do it!

I think it works fine. Besides that, I don't think Bakel really needs to match anyway - every child is an individual!
