    Honestly, not really my taste...

Thanks for your replies. It might take a little getting used to since you don’t hear the name often. But the letters of our mothers’ names are incorporated, as well as ours. So there is definitely some thought behind it.

I'd spell it as Hailey. Haley looks weird to me.

    Mee eens, Angie!

So beautiful and feminine, and the meaning behind the names of your moms that are in there is lovely too.
And I think it's really nice and special that you don't hear the name very often
In America, you do hear it more often though.

Thank you so much, Madelene! I'm starting to like the name more and more, too. And how you spell it. Hailey is more common than Haley, and we do like unique names.

Do you think Haley looks good with her big sister Eline? Eline likes it herself and is also crazy about her name.
I'm due in 20 days. And things are already getting quite messy.

Yes, of course it fits in easily. Don't forget they're two different people, even though they're from the same family. I think Haley is a really nice name and it definitely fits with Eline

Thanks for your reply. Eline is from me and my ex. Haley is from me and my current partner. That's why I was wondering. We can't wait for her to arrive.

I think Haley sounds kind of funny, but I don't like having an American name with a Dutch last name.

I also feel it's a totally different category of name than Eline, so they don't really go together.

It's a Scandinavian name and means hero. And the last name isn't very Dutch...
For us, she's a heroine, and especially the thought behind it—that all the letters are there from both mothers—also plays a role. And for us, it was also important that my other daughter finds it a beautiful name. But thanks for your opinion. I did ask for it after all.

I think it's beautiful! It's also on my list. Do you pronounce it the same as Hailey? I personally think Haley looks nicer. Really such a super cute name!

Scandinavian? Is the pronunciation then Hee-lie or something else?

With a non-Dutch last name, it would indeed sound nice

    Good luck with the delivery!

Haley was born by now and the reactions were really nice. The name really fits her. You do indeed pronounce it as Hee Lie. It's a Scandinavian name.

Thank you so much! Fenna, are you also going to go with Haley for your daughter?
