Hi! I'm new here and have a question. We already have a 19-month-old son and would like to have a second child. When can you take a pregnancy test if you have an irregular cycle? We stopped the pill in October and I feel like it might have finally worked this month. My last period started on April 29th and I ovulated two weeks later. After that, I had brown discharge for 5 days, felt nauseous with waves, and had a very tight stomach. Now I still have some nausea at times, but that tight feeling in my belly persists, and I really feel pregnant again. My cycle fluctuates between 30-40 days, so I have no idea when my period should be :-/ Can anyone help with this?

An early test from today and a store brand test on June 5th.

The test was negative. I got my period the day after the test, but it was really weird. Very dark (almost black) and sometimes a bit bright red. It was also much lighter than usual, but it lasted about 11 days instead of 5.
