sister who complains about bringing the kids to my mom too often

Hi, do you also have a sister who gets annoyed by the number of times you bring the kids to your mom to watch them?
It’s so irritating. I bring the kids to my mom 5 times a week because she loves watching them.
But my sister always has something to say about it.

Let your sister chat away, unless she's directly affected by it? Everyone thinks they know best and everyone does things differently, but the most important thing is to respect each other's choices. Do you feel good about this situation, and does your mother too? If so, I'd ask your sister what problem she has with it.....

I think taking your kids to grandma 5 times a week, so she can look after them, is quite a lot too. Doesn't grandma need some private time for herself? A lot of grandmas are afraid to say no. I think we all need to watch out for that. A few days is no problem, but five days is really too much.

Five days can be too much, I'd say. It's sweet that your sister is worried about your mom, but this is something you need to sort out with her. So sit down with your mom (not just quickly when you're picking up or dropping off the kids) and ask her firmly. It's possible that your mom will tell your sister, but not you, which I'd think is unwise. And ask your sister why she finds it so unpleasant.

I also think 5 times a week is quite a lot.
I would indeed talk it over with your mom, as suggested above.
It's super sweet of your mom that she's doing it! My dad (I no longer have a mom) has already indicated that he absolutely doesn't want fixed babysitting days or anything like that.

I really think five days with grandma is way too much. You don't even explain why you're doing it. Is it to save on babysitting costs or something? I feel like grandparents should just be able to be grandparents. Looking after your grandkids for five days is practically a full-time job by now. All the roles shift and change because of this. And it seems weird to me for your kids too. You're their mom, but they're being raised by grandma.
