Miscarriage

Hi,

Not the most pleasant topic, but has anyone here ever had a miscarriage? I just had one at 6 weeks. I lost a large piece, about 8x3 cm, and I'm wondering what that was.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply... But in your sentence you say... I think it was me, what do you think?

Yeah, I just think it's best as I already said, I'm not a doctor. I'd say get it checked out, please. Good luck, and I hope you'll be pregnant again soon.

    Love

Girl, first of all, lots of strength!
I know what it's like, I had to give birth to 4.
What you describe, I had that the first time too, but then twice, so 2x as big pieces. What that actually was, no idea. But at the follow-up check everything was fine.
Really once again, lots of strength!

Hi, this afternoon I lost another bit, now something at 5 cm again, kind of like flesh, sorry for the description..... And I'm still bleeding a lot.....

    @Kim,

I can tell you that with me, the blood and clots kept coming until there was hardly anything left of me. It went black in front of my eyes a few times. We went to the hospital, and they checked if they could remove it manually, but I kept bleeding. In the end, they opted for a D&C (curettage). After a night in the hospital, I went back home... phew! And I had muscle pain everywhere, not nice at all...

But anyway, I want to tell you: if the bleeding stays heavy and clots keep coming out, you can just call the gynecology department, and they'll help you further.

Let us know how you're doing. Is someone already aware of this?

    Strength, girl...

If it's really too intense, just go to the ER—they can definitely help you out there.

I unfortunately also had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. And it was probably twins. (I think so because I saw 2 little things come out that looked like they were 6 weeks old). And then it's really crappy when you're at a birthday party 1.5 weeks later and there are 4 pregnant women around you. And you're already feeling down and then one pregnant woman starts rubbing her big belly and tells you right in your face, "No, with us everything goes right in one go." You couldn't have made me feel worse at that moment. I understand you're happy, but if someone just had a miscarriage, you can at least hold back a bit, right?

Last night I lost my little gestational sac... Today I went to the hospital for "confirmation." It really did look empty. This is my second miscarriage; the first was last November. I feel so down. The aftermath of the first one was so long. I only got my period again in January. Hopefully, this time it'll be quicker...

Jenny, that's awful, girl. I hope you're done soon. Good luck, and hopefully the next one is a big one!

Oh girl, I find it terrible to read that you have to go through this too. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
If it starts naturally, it can take quite a while... it took about 2 weeks for me..
    And then still a D&C..
If I were you, I'd definitely give it a place, say goodbye to the baby, give it a name.
Make sure you give yourself the opportunity to cry, because tears will flow.
Talk about it with your husband and maybe a friend, and take your time...
It will take just as long for your hCG levels to return to normal as if you were 9 weeks and 3 days pregnant.
But if you get a D&C, I'd say, if I were you, wait for a normal cycle before trying to get pregnant again, but I can't decide that for you

Strength with the loss and I hope you'll soon be able to enjoy a new pregnancy again

@MavanMi - sorry for asking, I see that you've been on a long journey to get pregnant again. I hope it worked out for you now!

I had symptoms for 3 days after the curettage. On the first day, after leaving the hospital, I felt like a truck had run over me, and on the second day, I was just a wreck, pffff. On the third day, I started to feel a bit better. The following weeks were mostly very sad. By the way, I've given it a place in my heart.
I also sent you a PM.

Lots of strength, dear girls. Hopefully, you'll soon be carrying a beautiful little miracle in your hearts.

I myself unfortunately had an early miscarriage about a week ago (on vacation) and found it really hard.

So much strength, Nicole! How awful that it happened during your vacation... It was on a rotten day for me too... Our wedding day....
  16. nicole #17

Thank you so much, dear Jenny.

Yes, it was really intense at first, the joy and then the sadness.

What you shared is also really intense, wow. How are you doing now?
  17. Jenny #18

Yes, so sad! So happy that you have a positive test in your hands, and then later it's taken away from you again. I lost my gestational sac on June 27th. (By the way, it was my second miscarriage.)
It's going well now, not much bleeding and also not such after-effects as with the first miscarriage.
Still testing for ovulation, hoping that my cycle will return to normal soon.

@jenny, that's really intense, what you've been through. Glad it's getting better for you now.

Yeah, I'm also busy looking for my egg, but I haven't found it yet (we just have to keep testing until we find our egg). Hopefully, our cycles will get back on track soon.

    Hi ladies,
I had a miscarriage on November 8th at 6 weeks. It was my first time getting pregnant after trying for 6 months.
It hit me really hard. I'm trying to see it as the embryo not being healthy enough and that maybe we'd end up with a disabled child otherwise. Not that it's bad, but nature decides that.
Now I'm slowly looking forward again. I'm just really scared that it'll go wrong at 6 weeks again next time.
Are you guys scared of that too?
