Ectopic pregnancy

Hi everyone, hopefully someone can answer my questions. After contacting my midwife and GP multiple times, I'm still unclear!

For a few days now, an ectopic pregnancy has been seriously on my mind.

Last Wednesday night, I went to the urgent care center due to severe pain, and it turned out to be a bladder infection! Hence the severe pain in my lower abdomen and back.

I've been given antibiotics, which of course shouldn't harm my 5.3-week pregnancy!

But I'm getting slightly painful/irritating twinges in my neck and shoulder area. So my question is: when do you get neck and shoulder symptoms with an ectopic pregnancy? Is that before or after potential internal bleeding?

So far, I haven't had any blood in my urine or stool, nor any red/brown discharge.

I am experiencing some mild stress, mainly due to this situation!

Hopefully, someone can answer my question or speak from experience.

I’d suggest you ASAP bring this up with your midwife, GP, or gynecologist. Don’t keep walking around with this. Better to have one check-up too many than too few. Strength and success. I hope, of course, that nothing’s wrong. Will you let us know??

Thanks for your reply! I’ve already discussed this with the HAP, HA, and midwife, and they all say it’s not a blighted ovum. I’m scheduled for an ultrasound on April 24th at 7 weeks because they’re worried there might be nothing to see earlier. And that I’m getting stressed about it.

OOOh no baby yet, lucky that's good news!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!! yeah usually you get your first ultrasound around 8 weeks. So you can definitely take a week off and enjoy and then enjoy the beating heart and your little bean. Try to relax girl, stress is really "not done" for you and your little one right now.

Well, I keep thinking about the EDD because I have painful shoulders and neck. And since I haven't had an ultrasound yet, I'm worried about that
That's why I wondered if you also had symptoms that seem like shoulder and neck pain in case of a possible bleeding.
I'm pregnant for the first time and I really feel everything, it's driving me crazy!

How are things going with the complaints now??

Still dealing with my back and shoulders. The belly pain is probably coming from my intestines. I already had an ultrasound to check if everything is in the right place, and thankfully it is! There's a tiny chance that there's also a baby outside the uterus, but that chance is very small and wasn't visible on the ultrasound.

Oh, that's great that you know the diary is at least in your womb!!
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
