low hcg level

Hi everyone.
I have a question: does anyone else have a low hcg level at 4 weeks? I got 326 and had an ultrasound done, but nothing was visible. Now my heart is sinking.

I was at 283... and I'm now 30 weeks along

Is there really nothing to see on an ultrasound that early?

At 4 weeks of pregnancy, the gestational sac is sometimes visible, but it's so small that it's not always captured on screen. That's why an ultrasound is usually not done at 4 weeks; it's strange that they did it, really.

    Hi!
Yeah, there was nothing to see yet, but I had some bleeding, so that’s why I had the ultrasound. Now on Tuesday, I need to go back to check my hCG levels again. I hope they’ve doubled; otherwise, I’d have to take medication for it.
    To terminate ????????????

The question marks were wrong, that was supposed to be a sad face

Without an extra scan? So they’re only going by the hCG level?

Chantieeeee tomorrow I can go to the ultrasound again but I think they won't see much.
I just hope that my hCG level has risen super because otherwise I don't have any special pains that could indicate a miscarriage.

Probably not much to see yet. Maybe a gestational sac, but that doesn't have to be there. You're almost 5 weeks pregnant now, right? Especially if you haven't seen any more bleeding after that one time, I personally wouldn't just start taking pills to end things. It's weird that they suggest this instead of waiting and giving your own body a chance. Maybe your hCG is a bit low, but still... if the embryo isn't viable, your body will show that naturally. Unfortunately, I've had 2 miscarriages myself, but I did get the chance and time to let my own body handle it. Don't let anyone talk you out of your own feelings, please. It's your body, you decide, not the midwife or gynecologist. But hopefully, they're just wrong and you'll see a gestational sac tomorrow, your hCG will double nicely, and all this stress will be over for you. I'm rooting for you!!!

    Hi Chantieeeee
Thanks for the good vibes! I had an ultrasound today and they saw a tiny little sac, and my level was 1426 today. Tomorrow I’m going back to the IVF doctor because he wants to do an ultrasound too to be sure.
So for now, I still have hope

Yeah, now we're hoping it stays this way because the IVF doctor wanted to see the heartbeat first, he said. So that guy is still a bit negative, but I'm happy about it
