Double pregnant

I'm 8 weeks pregnant today and went to the midwife for an ultrasound for the first time yesterday.
I was told that there are two babies in my womb, but one is much smaller...
The midwife said the chance of the smaller baby surviving is very small, but there's still a chance.
It's just that the second baby came later in the womb and is officially only 7 weeks old.
I'm completely overwhelmed by this news.
I didn't expect to be pregnant with twins anyway, which is already quite heavy news, but now I don't know if the second one will make it, it's so strange.
I have to wait 2 weeks and then I'll go back for another ultrasound and find out if there are still two.

I went to the midwife again today and I'm expecting twins. The second one has had a growth spurt and everything is going well. I'm so relieved.

Wow! That's so special!! And it's so nice to hear!!
My big wish is for twins! But now I'm going for my last pregnancy... and I estimate the chance is really small... But I can totally imagine that you'd be startled when you hear that!
((I think I've always been drawn to it because I'm very likely from a twin pregnancy... My mom had an early miscarriage during my pregnancy.)) -
