Severe cramps

droopy
Had severe cramping last night for about an hour, much more intense than normal period cramps. Any ideas? Not sure when ovulation was. Tests showed it already on day 7, normally around day 16. Now it's day 22. Cycle is 30 days.

Could it be that you made a mistake about the day of your ovulation? Day 7 is pretty fast. Then it could be implantation around day 6...?

Then my implantation is around day 22.

Had a bit of white discharge a few hours before the severe cramping. The ovulation test showed day 7, which was indeed early, so I kept trying. But implantation one week before my period—is that not too short?? X

Implantation can take between 5-10 days, so it's possible. But you'll just have to wait and see. My ovulation tests (I thought) were fairly positive around day 15, but then the test was basically positive for almost a week; I only had my actual ovulation a week later! Those things (especially the cheaper versions from Kruidvat, I think) can really trick you into thinking it should be positive now, but it was only a week later for me! It's best to pay attention to your body; the discharge often matches up well with the approaching ovulation...

Were you still doing Clearblue tests? If there's no pregnancy, I'll order from Sensitest.

Hi. On Thursday morning I noticed light pink spotting when I peed, and by evening it was gone. Since then, I've been getting more and more stabbing pains in and around my belly, plus a lot of lower back pain. My nipples are a bit sensitive but my breasts aren't. Since today, I've also been getting stabbing pains in my stomach area and around my navel. Occasionally a bit of brown discharge, but not much. I'm getting more and more symptoms of a possible pregnancy rather than a period. The frequent urination has decreased a bit, but it's still more than usual. Do you think it's a good idea if I test on Friday, March 6th? I'll be 3 days late.

Are you going to test on Wednesday? I'm testing anyway 3-4 days before my period, and when it's time, I can't wait xx

I don't think a urine test is a good idea for NTD because the hCG level will still be very low. If you want to test for NTD, it's better to have a blood test. They can detect even the smallest levels that way. A blood test is much more sensitive than a urine test. I'm also very nervous about the result, especially now that I'm starting to feel like my period is coming. I'm going crazy with this situation, but I asked my GP about it, and they said a urine test for NTD is just throwing money away.

We'll see, trying to hold it in as long as possible and waking up every morning hoping for morning sickness but nothing...
  10. erwtje Guest #11

Yeah, I haven't had the typical morning sickness yet either, but today I noticed something strange. A lot of stomach pain, just like my period is coming, and when I wiped, there was a little light pink spotting. Now I'm afraid it's going to get worse and I'll still get my period, and maybe I'm not pregnant or no longer pregnant. I'll keep an eye on it and hope it doesn't get darker, because then I fear the worst.

I've had a weird feeling since today. I've had some bleeding now and then—not a large amount—and it doesn't look really red, more brownish-pink. Could I be losing the baby? Are my period coming? Or am I still pregnant and does this happen more often in the first weeks of pregnancy? And when will the bleeding stop?

@ Eline: yes, did you also pay attention to your cervical mucus (the Billings method)? I had some stringy mucus around the 20th or 21st day. We do seem to be quite similar, and it's exciting that we might both be pregnant... or at least know for sure We can compare notes. Today I tried to distract myself and went for a walk and some shopping by the sea with my hubbie. Of course, I couldn't pass by any baby stores... Today was weird, but there was quite a bit of white discharge. While walking, I thought, "Oops, is this my period?" because it didn't feel so dry... But it was cervical mucus... I'm really acting weird. This morning my husband did a weird maneuver with the car (not too bad), but I can only put it into perspective now. I was completely losing it, tears in my eyes... Stupid. Anyway, now my husband asks if we should cook together and have an aperitif, but I don't dare. Imagine if I'm pregnant... I'll stick to diet cola. And I wish I could just have a day where I don't think about being pregnant or becoming pregnant, but that clearly failed...

@ erwtje: You didn't have a positive pregnancy test yet, did you? Hoh, I think this could last for a few days as long as it doesn't increase in amount. You also hear regularly that bleeding isn't always alarming.. But I think I'd go to my GP and ask for a blood test and get info on how, what, and how long implantation bleeding can last. Hopefully everything is fine and completely normal xxx Maybe ask other ladies who are newly pregnant...,

Yeah, it's really weird indeed. Sometimes when I wipe, there's light pink or light brown discharge, but no bright red bleeding like in other months, and not like a normal period should be. Maybe it's a sign of the upcoming period? Or maybe it'll stay like this and stop after a few days. I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Maybe it's normal during the first weeks of pregnancy. I'll wait a few days to test, once I'm sure there's no more bleeding. I had that last Thursday too, and it went away then, so I guess I'll just wait and see.

    HI HI,
How are you doing? Here, all the pregnancy symptoms or what I associated with them have melted away like snow in the sun... The only thing I just had was a small mucus plug that was yellowish/watery, and now I really feel like there's constant mucus leaking... (sorry for the details) But I don't know what this could be. Has anyone here experienced this or had it before... Could it be that the mucus is breaking down and preparing for LABOR?

    xx

    Hi ladies,

How are you all doing today?
I had a dream last night (very vivid) that I had my period. I even went to search for a sensitivity test for ultra-sensitive ovulation tests, but when I wanted to pay, I couldn't find my bank card and woke up. Effectively, under the assumption that I had my period....! If I tell my husband about it, he says I'm crazy.

Anyway, I went to take action to get cheap tests so I can test every day and we'll see....
Just tested, and of course it was still negative. I expect more and more negative tests...
    Well, we'll see.

Hopefully, you all have more positive experiences. Fingers crossed xx

Droopy, how many DPO are you currently at?
  17. droopy started this #18

5 days until DUE DATE (I know it's way too early) but I'm synonymous with Mrs. Impatience.
  18. mnndyyy #19

Oh, I'm also 5 days past ovulation, but I really want to wait and also really want to test. I totally get you! Which round is this? Mine's the 3rd.

    Hi ladies

I'm really struggling with a problem and a dilemma.
I had bleeding on Saturday night/early Sunday morning that seemed very much like my expected period.
Normally I was supposed to get it today, but there was quite a lot of blood and it was brownish/reddish in color. So now I don't know if it was implantation bleeding or just my period.
And it's really weird to explain, but today there's nothing more to see, so it only lasted about 2 days instead of the usual 4/5 days.
Since today, I've been feeling some things again that make me think I might still be pregnant, but I don't dare take a test because if it's negative, I'll feel bad again.
Do you have any advice? Should I wait a few more days or should I go ahead with this? Because yes, I might be walking around pregnant without knowing it, and I might be eating, drinking, or doing things that I probably shouldn't.
