Would I dare to test?

Hi ladies,
I've had a 30-day cycle for months now. This month I started using ovulation tests. I got a positive ovulation test on day 8. Now I'm on day 20. I often read that you should get your period 14 days after ovulation. Should I dare to take an early pregnancy test now? But if I go by my 30-day cycle, I still have to wait 10 days. I don't really have any symptoms either. Just now and then a heavy feeling in my lower belly, sometimes slight cramping pain, and twice a short period of sore breasts..

I'd consider whether you want to go through the disappointment of a negative test when you yourself say your cycle often runs longer, so the test doesn't really say anything yet, or whether it can take your mind off things for a while after a test. Even a positive test doesn't guarantee everything, because a lot can still go wrong in the first few days.
