Rinke ...ink

We're debating the name Rinke. We love it so much, but we're wondering if it goes well with our last name. Our surname ends in "ink", so it would become Rinke ....ink. Do you think that works? Or does it sound a bit too clownish?

    Yes, of course! Why not!
It's a beautiful name, if you ask me!

And that ink from behind doesn't bother me at all!

I think it works, as long as the last name isn't too short...
Rinke Brink, for example, sounds a bit less appealing to me personally.
Rinke Aalderink, on the other hand, feels just right to me!

    Good luck!

I think it's okay, but I'm not really fond of the name Rinke, sorry.
    Tastes differ, of course.
I'd prefer Renske myself, and it's still close to the name Rinske.

Oops! In my previous reply (anonymous), I honestly assumed that Rinke is a boy's name! (Sorry, assumption)
I actually know a boy named Rinke!
For a boy, I think it's a really nice name, but for a girl, it's less so!

Isn't there also a journalist named Rin(s)ke van den Brink? I think it could work.

    Hi,

Rinke was also intended as a boy's name, but I see that many people indeed perceive it as a girl's name...
