Scared of a miscarriage

Hi ladies,
Okay, I think I probably don’t have a valid reason to be scared, but I’m really, really afraid of having a miscarriage. I had my Mirena IUD removed about a month ago, and my expected period date is March 2nd. I’ve only had one period since the removal... My partner and I have been trying hard, and hopefully, it might have worked. But now I keep reading stories saying I should have waited a month, and that this increases the chance of a miscarriage! I haven’t even gotten a positive test yet, but I’m so incredibly scared that because my uterine lining might not be thick enough yet, I could have an (early) miscarriage... I’m really scared! Does anyone else feel this way?
Best,
Vetra.

    Hey Vetra,

I was able to get pregnant right after having my Mirena IUD removed. You don't have an increased risk of miscarriage. The chance of a miscarriage is 20%, which is unfortunately quite high, so being afraid of it is never unrealistic. But it doesn't help much either . Try to enjoy this phase, trying to conceive and hopefully being pregnant soon. And if it goes wrong, that's terrible, but there are always people here who will support you. I had a miscarriage myself when I was almost 10 weeks pregnant. (6 months after removing the IUD, so that didn't cause it , just bad luck). I'm already 15 weeks pregnant again!! I hope you get pregnant soon and that it sticks!

Hi Muus! Thanks a lot for your reply! Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy.. I feel much better now that I've read your reassuring message. Congratulations on your pregnancy! 15 weeks already, I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and get to bring a healthy baby into the world!
