Clomid

Hi!

Yes, there is a slightly increased chance of multiples with Clomid, which is why you also have to go to the hospital during a cycle with Clomid for follicle scans (FM)..
To keep an eye on things a bit and to prevent overstimulation.

Clidi CAN also have unpleasant side effects. I think it happens more often than not. I myself had severe headaches and a depressive feeling from Clomid, and this got worse with higher dosages (first 50mg, then 100mg, and then 150mg was used).

How long have you been trying? Can you still handle (mentally) trying every month like this in terms of disappointment etc.?
That the first one was successful within 3 months unfortunately says absolutely nothing about the second one, nor about fertility. Maybe you had sex at exactly the right moment back then without even thinking about it.

Good luck with your decision!

Love, Kruimel

We've been trying since May, but we're only on the 8th cycle now.
I've talked to my GP about waiting until May (then the 2nd will be a year), although it could also happen now. I'd like to let it settle a bit.

Who knows, maybe Mother Nature will do it again on her own, since Dean also just came naturally, so yes, it's a blessing that we're fertile.

You're right, you'd have to go for ultrasounds then, but often you get pregnant quickly that way.

anyone else have positive or negative experiences with Clomid?
    and were you pregnant quickly?

my partner and I have decided to wait until May, then we'll have been trying for a full year. Hopefully Mother Nature will give us a little help.
because it should be possible, even if I get referred now, but I want to let things settle for a bit and who knows...

Maybe you can still use my reply, almost a month past the due date
My partner and I decided to go for artificial insemination after 3 miscarriages and the necessary tests.. Each cycle also included a course of Clomid to mature the eggs. I was very moody the first month, couldn't stand anything and got angry right away. The second cycle only gave me headaches.. It depends from person to person.. But it does help I always had at least 2 eggs ready, so yes, the chance of multiples is higher..

    True,

I also asked my GP about the pros and cons.

But yes, a twin pregnancy can always happen, of course, but then there's a higher chance. We do have a strong desire though.

Were you pregnant quickly? The GP said to keep that in mind, as it can happen fast.

Let's wait until May to see what Mother Nature does.

After the second attempt, it was a success! I'm almost 6 weeks along now. But the same applies here as with natural conception: stay calm and don't focus too much on it! My OB-GYN told me that it's normal if it takes 3 to 4 attempts. Anyway, good luck!

    currently in round 9
will it be a cycle of 30 days or 44??

gonna do my very first ovulation test on friday, really curious, gonna give it a try
i always used to think things like no tracking, no tests, and all that
but i'm gonna give it a try and try to get pregnant naturally, and the clock keeps ticking
