boy's name

Mandy
Good morning,

We're expecting our second little boy in August, but we're still completely stuck on a name.
We still have some time, but I'm already really digging around/thinking about it.
Our eldest son is named Sam (English pronunciation), do you have any ideas what would go well with that?
We'd like another short name.

My husband likes Bram a lot, I'm more into Finn..
We also liked Daan, but that's out because we have a Daniel in the family who is always called Daan.

Thanks in advance for thinking along, and I look forward to your replies

Love,

    Thanks girls, I really appreciate it!!!
    There are always names you haven't come across yourself.

    Hihi Ju, always handy if you already know who to turn to when you're on a name hunt hihi

    @Mandy,

    You're welcome, hehehehe....
    And yes Mandy, I'll just throw it out there as a random guess and hope that Anoniem2 will make a shopping list for me too

    Now your husband can choose from a very long shopping list, Mandy:-)

    I also posted a message about the boy's name Nika, I think it's really nice for a boy. Tough, hip, and a bit sweet. What do you think? Just like Noah, I think it works well with Nika too.

    Yes indeed, hihi
    Nika is a lovely name and I haven't really heard it before, very nice!! I think it suits a little one well but also someone older.
    I also think Noah is very nice, unfortunately my husband doesn't.

    Are you expecting a boy too, anonymous?

    What do you think of Bram? That's my husband's favorite, I just don't know if I can really get used to it.. saying it hard a few times

    @Mandy,

    I think Bram is nice too, that works just as well.
    Sam & Bram

    Yeah, maybe it's just me, hehe. Let me let it all sink in for a bit.
    Definitely something to think about. Your suggestions also have some nice names in there!
    On their own, I really like the names, but I'm more hesitant because Sam sounds English and Bram seems so Dutch next to it... Or do you think I'm overthinking this? Haha, I know, right

    Which name do you like the most from my shopping list, Mandy?

    I'm quite curious about that! :-)

    Yes, I think Nika is quite tough for a boy. I've heard of girls with that name, but for a boy, I find him really tough yet also sweet, and the sound is nice. But maybe you should spell it differently, like Nikah instead of Nika. The name is just a bit different from Mika.

    Luuk or Brad from the name Bradley but pronounced as bred
    Greetings, Madelene

    @anoniem2,
    I think I like Mees the most from your list
    My husband Max!

    Yes, Nika is lovely!! I think the name sounds just a bit nicer for a boy than for a girl

    @ Madelene,
    I also really like Luuk, but that's my little brother's name, so unfortunately he's out too.
    Thanks for thinking along!

    Bram, Mees, and Sepp I find really nice!
    I would have loved to have Mees on my list.. But unfortunately this name doesn't fit with our last name because it starts with an S...

    Hi ladies,

    Can I ask for your opinion again?
    We've narrowed it down to a list of 3 names.
    Which do you think sounds best with Sam (pronounced Sem)?

    Sam and Dex
    Sam and Cas
    Sam and Vince

    We've decided it'll be one of these three, we just don't know which one yet..
    Hope you'll share your thoughts with us again

    xx

    Dex is really cute, and it has 3 letters too.
