A little sister for Maud!

Hi fellow mamas!

We're pregnant with our second girl, yay! Our first daughter is Maud, what do you think of a nice name for daughter 2? We're trying hard but can't quite find the right name yet... We're looking for a short and strong name!

    Not sure if this is helpful to you.

    It's not easy, is it? We're also having a hard time finding a name ourselves. But we don't know what it'll be yet either, so we're still searching in both directions.

    Thanks Natalie! No, it's definitely not easy. Maud was of course the first choice and that one is now taken :-) I personally like Lieke, it's nice and spicy and short. It also fits well with Maud, I think. My husband leans more towards Lea(h) or Elin. The downside of Lieke, I think, is that the name is already quite common, it comes up regularly I believe. A bit of a pity...

    Lieke is definitely a nice name. It has a lot of character.

    It is indeed a name that comes up more often, but it definitely fits with Maud. Personally, I think Lea is also very nice, not just as a baby name but also for an adult.

    I gave the mom of Flore a list of names too, who knows if there's something in it:

    Maud & Jikke (sounds spicy too)
    Maud & Alva
    Maud & Elin
    Maud & Ava (makes it a bit softer)
    Maud & Lea ((h) also very nice)

    We also have a girl's name (two actually, but they come so rarely that I'd rather not tell them on the forum ;-)).

    Looking for names is such a big task, I think! It's also such an important responsibility :-) !
    Our daughter is called Alex. We think that's really cool!
    Juul was also an option if we had another daughter, or Daantje.
    I really like boys' names for girls.
    But that's very personal, of course.

    We're having a son and I can't think of any nice names.
    I love short names. Suggestions are always welcome! :-)

    Lea is already on our list, but I’m still not sure if I find the name ‘too sweet’...
    The rest isn’t really our style, sorry. Thanks for your tips though!

    Our little girl is named Xem.. short and super cool, and you hardly ever hear it here. Nice in combination with Maud.
