Babbles
Things you said you'd never do before having kids, but ended up doing anyway once you became a mom.
Hi ladies, my question to you was whether you also used to tell your moms that you’d always be consistent, but then when you became a mom yourself, you handled it a bit differently? So, are there things you said were absolutely not to be done when you had kids yourself, but you ended up breaking those rules anyway?
For example, I always strongly felt that the differences in parenting between my husband and me would be manageable, but it turned out otherwise, and I realized that when we actually had kids with him. He had completely different ideas about parenting than I did.
And I also thought no soda with carbonation until they were 7. Well, I’m coming back to that now—I never thought I’d do it, but yeah, I noticed it was hard to stop anyway. It’s actually quite funny how you can deviate from your principles once you’re a mom; in practice, it often turns out differently.
