Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about a boy's name for a while now: Jarvin.
We'd like a name with a J (my dad passed away a few years ago, and his name was Jaap).
What do you all think of the name Jarvin??

I really like it myself, but I'm also having second thoughts...
I still have a few months left, hahaha...

    Why are you still hesitating?
    I think it's such a beautiful name...
    Jarvin has a bit of a tough vibe, but it also feels quite classic to me...
    Besides, it's unique! But not in an overly striking way, or so different that people wonder or are surprised... (Like with names such as Kick or Storm, for example)

    And besides that, I also find it really nice that you're naming him after your dad!

    I personally don't really like it, sorry :-(
    If you want to name him after your dad, there are still plenty of nice names with a J!
    - Jayden
    - Jannick
    - Jasper (maybe it's beautiful... Jaap...Jasper..)
    - Justin

    Just some suggestions though... If you think Jarvin is beautiful, just go for it!

    Is it pronounced in English? A bit ordinary for a Dutch child with a Dutch surname.

    When pronounced in Dutch, the name takes some getting used to, but it's not ugly.
