Pregnant or not?

I have a tricky question. My last period started on November 27th, which means I’m already in a 39-day cycle? I did an ovulation test back on December 11th, and it was positive. I’ve taken a few pregnancy tests since then, and they all came back negative... (even today).

So it’s pretty clear to me that I’m probably not pregnant, but is there still hope?

It's possible you had a longer cycle once? How long is your cycle normally? (on average, or is it very variable)
Otherwise, you can always consult your GP just to be sure.

I had my period on Dec 13 after having the IUD removed, and then I had bleeding on Dec 29. Now I'm experiencing all sorts of symptoms that point to pregnancy, but I got a negative test this morning! Has anyone here experienced this??

Your symptoms might also be related to an upcoming period. But no blood = hope

Yeah, I thought so too... But I don't know these symptoms from my period! Frequent urination, stabbing pain in the lower abdomen, headaches, dizziness, hot flashes—it feels really different from an impending period

Not to discourage you, of course, because those are indeed pregnancy symptoms, but it could also be due to hormones. I had the same thing the first month after stopping the pill, really thought I was pregnant, but then got my period anyway. (At that time I hadn't done any tests yet, thinking I'd see, but after a few rounds I've become more and more curious, impatient, etc.)

Kind of a post-pill reaction, hormones that need to kick in / maybe they're kicking in too much or something like that..

+ Now I'm definitely feeling more, with contraception 'normal' reactions are also dampened.

But again, no blood is good, and keep crossing fingers for now
