Loïs or Danaë?

Hi everyone,

I'm pregnant with our second daughter. The oldest is named Faya. Now we're torn between:
Loïs (pronounced Lowis)
Danaë/Danée (pronounced Danee)

What do you think?

    I personally find Danae nicer. Loïs comes up more often, and I prefer names that aren't very common.

    I'd go for Loïs, but then I'd also spell it as Lowis in your case. Otherwise, everyone will just call her Lo-is, because that's how it's written....

    I'm also going for Danaë/Danée! I find this name a bit warmer and more beautiful in combination with Faya...

    I think Loïs is also prettier... but then you have to pronounce it that way... With both names, you're choosing to have your daughter spell her name every time anyway.
