Mees and Merel?

Hi!
Our son is named Mees, and we're now expecting a daughter.
Merel is our favorite, but we're wondering if Mees and Merel go well together since they're both bird names. What do you think?

    I think Merel is a nice name on its own.
    But I'm not really into naming after birds.
    Still, Merel sounds lovely.
    With Mees it might be a bit too much, indeed—two bird names.
    Maybe Mirela is nice?

    And what if you put the stress on a different syllable? And use a hyphen on the e?
