Worried

I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant and felt the baby move quite early, already at 20 weeks. Today and yesterday, I haven't really felt anything, except for a very light movement in the evening. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, so someone can reassure me??

I don't want to go to the midwife right away...

    Hi Mandy,

I’ve had that too, believe me. Super stress, and then you just have those days every now and then.

That’s why I bought an Angel Sound for my second one, so I can always listen to the heartbeat.

I’ll just pop by the VK tomorrow for a bit, then you can listen to the heartbeat and you’ll feel reassured again. Just do it—that’s their job, that’s what they’re there for, and they’re happy to do it!

Yeah, I think I'll do that tomorrow morning, just call to see if they have a slot. The only thing holding me back is the feeling that I'm being overly cautious, but I know it'll be better for my peace of mind.

    Thanks!

I also bought an Angel Sound monitor for my own peace of mind. I barely felt the baby move at all due to a placenta previa.

They say you should feel the baby 10 times in 24 hours... My OB-GYN advised me that if I don't feel her for an hour, I should lie down and then check if I feel her. If not, I should add another hour, and if still nothing, then call...

My first baby I didn't feel at all anymore from 35 weeks, so I had to go to the hospital every day for CTG monitoring...
I always say: call as soon as you're worried.
At my place, they say it's better to come 4 times for nothing than to come once too late....

Yes, I went in this afternoon and everything is okay, thankfully! :-D
It really puts my mind at ease. The midwife also mentioned that from 26 weeks onwards, you should feel her every day. If you don't, call immediately to ease your worries...

I asked my midwife about the fetal doppler, and she said you're only allowed to use it once a week, for a maximum of 5 minutes. If you can hear her heartbeat but still aren't feeling her move, you should call anyway.
