24 weeks pregnant and gained 2.5 kg. Hopefully, it stays like this.

I'm 28 weeks and have only gained 1.5 kg.. Is that normal ? But everything is fine with the baby. Is she at the right weight ????
  4. Hato #224

With my first, I gained about 30 kg and you didn't even see it that much.. I've lost 20 now, but after 3 years I still have those 10 kg that I just can't seem to get rid of
  5. Brennieama Guest #225

I'm 28 weeks now and have already gained 13kg.

Staying under 10 kg? A pregnancy including extra fat storage, extra blood, amniotic fluid, fluids, the little one, etc., is already around 13 to 14 kg.
I'm now 37 weeks and have gained 14 kg.
    I weighed 52 before I got pregnant.
  7. J&S #227

I'm 20 weeks and have gained 3 kg so far.
I weighed 59 kg before I got pregnant, and still the OB said to me, 'we're going to stay under 10 kg, okay!'
I thought, well, huh? Can't I gain more than 10 kg?
  8. I #228

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and have gained over 8 kilos.
During the first trimester, I gained a total of 7 kg.

I'm 35 weeks and have gained 13 kg. More than I'd like, but it is what it is.
At 20 weeks it was 4.5 kg, then at 28 weeks suddenly 10.5 kg more. So a lot in a short time. And since then it's been going slower.
But I wonder what's still going to be added in the last 5 weeks.

35 weeks and just hit the 20 kg mark. No wonder I'm so clumsy and knocking everything over. Not used to being such a big ship.

Now 35 weeks pregnant... weighed 68 kg before pregnancy and now 83 kg!!! OMG!!! Gained 15 kg!!! Still have at least 5 weeks to go!!!
I do retain a lot of fluid, but still... I was already at my heaviest before pregnancy... I was already exercising quite a bit to get back to my old weight (63 kg)
Hopefully it'll be fine after the pregnancy...

But the most important thing: our little girl looks healthy on the ultrasounds and check-ups... and that's truly; the most important thing!!!

33 weeks and gained 11kg. My OB-GYN thought that was too much, since I have a BMI of 25 (70kg and 1m68). So now the scale reads 81kg, and according to my OB-GYN, I should only gain a maximum of 12kg in total.
  13. ^-^ #233

I'm 27.1 weeks and have gained 4.2 kg.
  14. Orchidea #234

28 weeks pregnant and gained 6 kilos
  15. Andrea #235

I've gained a total of 5.5 kilos and I'm 35 weeks along. I also only have a modest little belly.
  16. Emmy #236

27 weeks and gained 2kg. I'm curious how things will go in the third trimester...
  17. Coconut #237

Here at 30 weeks and I've already gained 10 kilos.. don't they say you gain half a kilo per week on average in the last trimester? So I should be at 15 by then. I'm fine with that!
  18. Anon Guest #238

First pregnancy: gained 25 kg in total, gave birth on the due date. Second pregnancy: gained 28 kg, gave birth 1 week overdue. Both pregnancies involved a lot of fluid retention.
Now pregnant with our third child, 33+3 weeks pregnant, holding much less fluid, gained 10 kg.

I'm 29+4 weeks pregnant and I've gained 2 kilos. I was vomiting a lot during the first 12 weeks. I was admitted to the hospital for 2 nights. I still haven't reached my pre-pregnancy weight. And I eat healthily and also eat quite a bit of sweets to avoid losing weight.
  20. Emmy #240

I usually hear people talking about gaining too much weight, but I sometimes worry that I haven't gained enough. Now at 31 weeks and just gained 2kg. I had/average weight with bmi 21. When I read what people usually gain: O.
Baby is growing on average so probably I shouldn't make such a fuss...
