Klaas or Alt

We have two names we really like. One is a classic, ordinary name and we just think it's nice. The other name is my husband's favorite, but it's not really common in Belgium, which makes me hesitant. I think the name is pretty, but I'm not sure if it's a 'fun' name to have.

I think Alt is a really nice name. Very masculine and tough, and you don't hear it that often. Klaas sounds a bit less elegant to me. -

Alt, I don't think Klaas reminds me of Jan Klaas at all.
But everyone has their own taste, of course.
I find Alt better, short and strong, and cool.

Honestly, I don't like either of them! When I hear Alt, I immediately think of a singing voice...
I find Klaas a bit outdated! -

At Alt, he'll always get asked if his parents are in music ;-)
