Hi mama3, yes, I know that one. Our (way too stubborn) OB did that too. I was sure it wasn't like that but I went along with it anyway.

Why do I think you're thinking that? Because then I get to go on leave a week earlier :-D

Otherwise, I just pushed for early check-ups and, of course, gave birth at 39 weeks.

And yes, the measurement can be inaccurate. If he's off by half a millimeter, that explains the difference. If it's done right, you can see that in the report he made. Were there differences in the measurements?

I'm really happy for you that everything is fine and that the growth is going well. I wouldn't worry too much about the male doctors and their egos and just accept it as a gift and know better yourself :-) And... in the worst-case scenario, he's right after all.

    Hi Mama3,

With my second ultrasound, I was also a week behind. Later in my pregnancy, I caught up by a week, and with the 20-week scan, I ended up being a week behind again. As long as the baby is growing well and the heart looks good, that's what matters!

They can see and measure so much nowadays, and being a week early or late really doesn't matter for those 40/42 weeks.

    Congratulations anyway.

    Nicole
