Birth announcements

Hi!

We're expecting our first baby in early August and we're over the moon! I'm 23 years old. We've been together for 7 years, so the next step was having kids hehe!

My boyfriend is quite creative with Photoshop and all that stuff, and he designed a really beautiful birth announcement. We've already sent it to a few printers, but everywhere we're getting price quotes that we're not really happy about It would cost us more than a standard card...

Has anyone got experience with this?

Are there people who have also designed their own card and had it printed?
I'm from West Flanders, NL Kuurne.

Greetings!!!!

    Hi Ann Sophie,

We had our self-designed cards printed at Copy Copy, which is a foundation employing people with intellectual and physical disabilities. It wasn't nearly as expensive as I thought! I'm originally from Bergen op Zoom, but I'm sure there are similar foundations in your area too.

    Good luck!

Well, we just sent our card to a local printer. They told us that our file is too small in resolution. My partner is making a new card and then we'll send it back to the printer.

I see NL, is this a problem? Will I have the cards in time? Because we're in West Flanders.
    Greetings!!

We also designed our own invitation and had it printed at www.letterpressenzo.nl. It's a traditional printing technique where the impression is actually pressed into the paper. Great service and very reasonably priced, especially if you're looking for something special.

    Greetings, Patricia
