another abortion?

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and would love to hear your thoughts.
I had an abortion this February, of course we regretted it but it just wasn't an option. I was on welfare and my boyfriend's contract was ending....
Now I'm probably pregnant again, I'm a week late, big belly, moody etc. I tested last Saturday but now I'm too scared, afraid of disappointment that it is so and my boyfriend already wants another abortion we both work....

    Hi Linny,

The first thing that comes to my mind is that abortion is not a form of contraception!
If you are indeed pregnant, I think you should stand by your decision and do everything possible for the little one. And if you feel you can't give the child enough, then consider adoption.

I really want to keep it and won't keep going around having abortions, but I don't know what my boyfriend thinks, so I don't dare to take the test.

I personally always get chills when it comes to abortion because you're taking away life. I believe that a baby's soul chooses its own parents, and if you have an abortion, you're depriving that soul of the chance at life.
But that's just my opinion, of course.
I completely agree with what anonymous wrote above. Adoption is also an option. If I were in your situation, I would consider adoption, but never abortion.
    Strength with everything, greetings, Madelene

    I completely agree with muts87..

If you know that you could get pregnant now but aren't sure if you're ready for it, I think you're not really thinking things through...
There are so many people who can't get pregnant, and by handling the situation this way, I really feel it's an insult to those people...

You need to think carefully about it and not use abortion as a form of contraception... Yes, things can go wrong or be unplanned once in a while, but after that, you should be more careful...

Oh my, I’d test right away so you know where you stand.

I’d keep in the back of my mind who says if you get rid of this baby, can you even get pregnant again?

Hope you make the right choice and don’t regret it.

Maybe once you've made your choice, you should really think about contraception! Because in my opinion, you can have one mishap, but two in one year still seems likely, and there hasn't been much thought given to that. There are couples who take years to be able to have children, and some end up terminating that little life after every "mishap." Also keep in mind that the risk you take with an abortion is significant, and there's a possibility of becoming infertile. I just want to share this so you can look at it from both sides. You always have to make your own choice...

Why would your friend want an abortion now? You're both working now, so aren't money worries less pressing than before?
Besides that: even with little money (and space) you can care for a child. A baby doesn't need to cost much: a baby room isn't necessary, if you ask around you'll be 'bombarded' with free second-hand items and for any medical costs you have insurance (baby is insured for free with the mother or father).

    Hi,

How did you end up pregnant again? Are you using contraception? If you're not ready for a kid, I'd definitely recommend using protection. You always have to remember there's a chance of getting pregnant. It might sound harsh, but if you're not using contraception, you've kind of chosen this outcome if you turn out to be pregnant. An abortion is no small thing either. I'd definitely keep the baby, and if your boyfriend doesn't want to, that's his problem—he knew what the risks of unprotected sex were. You should never be pressured into anything. Money is always handy, but the most important thing is love for the baby and a warm home.

Whatever my opinion on having an abortion may be, I don't think you should do it just because your boyfriend says so. You're in charge of your own body, and if you decide to keep the baby, things will work out. Lots of women do it alone and are incredibly happy.

I'd suggest taking the test soon. And if you do decide to have an abortion, please go to the doctor for the pill.

Tip: check with your insurance for free condoms; some plans include them. Good luck with everything.

I just want to share my opinion. I do think it's pretty weird that you're already pregnant again when you say you don't know what your boyfriend will think. I'm very young myself and I'm pregnant right now too. My boyfriend and I don't have much, but we're going to do everything we can to give this baby a good life since we got pregnant ourselves—you were there yourself. I had an abortion when I was 16 because I didn't know what to do and I was too scared to tell my parents. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have done it. I don't think abortion is the solution to the problem, especially not if you want it and your boyfriend doesn't. It's your body, you decide what happens with it, no one else!!!!
