Little hug for Flore

Hi everyone,

I'm expecting a little girl for my daughter Flore.
What names do you think would suit the name Flore?

    Sorry, I find it really difficult. I think Flore is really tricky to come up with something for.

    I came across Ibe somewhere. Do you think this is a boy's or a girl's name?

    I also came across Thijn and Kian.

    I find girl names harder!

    Hi Flore's mom,

    Floren + little brother:

    Flore and Finn is really nice
    Flore and Raff (just make it a bit different from the F again)
    Flore and Owen

    I don't really like Dauwe. Also because you know someone in your circle and indeed it can also mean pushing.

    Flore + little sister:

    Flore and Merle
    Flore and Mirre
    Flore and Noa

    I'll think about it a bit more for you.

    thanks for your ideas!

    Merle, Mirre, and Noa aren't really for us. I'm thinking about Finn/Finne.

    If a third child comes along, could there still be a name without an F? Like Flore, Finn(e), and... Or would there "have to" be another F then?

    I don't find two F's bothersome. And for the third one, you'll just go for a name that fits this little one. It doesn't necessarily have to be an F, I think. I'm still thinking about a girl's name.

    Flore & Alva
    Flore & Elin
    Flore & Ava
    Flore & Lea

    A few more male options ;-):

    Flore & Vince
    Flore & Bjorn
    Flore & Boyd (both are medieval names)

    Last week we passed by a house where a stork was standing with 'Marie'.

    I have to be honest, I never really thought the name Marie was that beautiful, but I saw that stork and the name suddenly caught my eye. I thought it was an old lady name. And then I was in the shop the other day and I heard a mother calling Marie. A cute little girl of about 6 years old. Can it really be for younger kids? The name is becoming more and more beautiful...

    Flore and Marie. That 'sounds' nice too, I think. The more I say Marie, the more I like it.

    Flore and Marie. What do you all think about that? Finn/Finne hasn't been ruled out yet, for clarity. Marie and Finn/Finne are now on the list. (They still have a little while, but it's starting to run short!)

    *Sigh* Difficult, difficult! That wasn't the case with Flore though. Within a week, so to speak, we had the names.

    For a girl, I think Marthe fits well with Flore. For a boy, Borre, Warre... Personally, I don't really like Finn as much; I'd rather go with Marie.

    I don't really like Marthe. Borre doesn't work either, we already have a Berre in the list. I don't think Warre is that nice for our child either. But thanks for thinking along!

    We're still hesitating between Finne and Marie. We're thinking of giving a girl the name Finne Marie. Finne as the first name and Marie as the second name. And then pronouncing Finne as Finn.

    @ju, a brusje is a combination of BRoertje and zUSJE (merge the capital letters)
