Pregnancy tests, ovulation and ovulation tests

Hey everyone
I have a question..
I stopped the pill 6 months ago and then my period was absent for 3 months..(coming off the pill) After that I had a cycle of 29 days and was regular. But now I'm 5 days late and there's no sign of my period. I ovulated on the 10th and lost some brown blood on the 13th. Lately I've also been experiencing some nausea, stomach pain, tingling in my belly and a dull ache in my lower abdomen. I really want to get pregnant and of course hope my body isn't playing tricks on me. I took a test 2 days before and 3 days after my expected period and both were negative. I've seen that some people test positive even before their expected period. Are there people who also test negative after their expected period and turned out to be pregnant??
