Sem or Milan

Hi!

We're torn between two names for our son. We were thinking Sem or Milan.
Our names are Suzanne and Kristof.

What do you all think? Which one do you like best?

I also like Jip or Nyk (pronounced like Nike).

Best wishes

    @suzanne,

    Nyk ...
    Short and sweet..

I think the name Jip is absolutely amazing! Really super!
I do associate this name with the books by Annie M.G. Schmidt... Jip & Janneke... But I wouldn't let that put me off...
Milan comes in at a good second place for me... Sweet and cheerful!

Sem isn't really my taste (sorry), and honestly, I don't like Nyk that much either!

    Good luck!

It's just that a friend's son is already named Milan, otherwise this would have been the name if I had a son! I find it cool, but also beautiful. I think Sem is less appealing, but I do like Sen/Senn, it's just a little different!

I find Milan and Sem a bit 'standard' ... Nyk you always have to explain (I read Niek myself, and otherwise Nijk)
Jip on the other hand, great name!! It IS that my husband doesn't like it at all, otherwise I would have undoubtedly named the baby in my belly Jip (if it's a boy, haha)!

It's just that I'm called Janneke myself, and my boyfriend doesn't like it, but I think Jip is super cool!

    Hi,

I think Milan is the most beautiful.
We have a girl in the street named Sem, I wouldn't name my son that so quickly.

I also think Jip is a really nice name.

    Greetings
    Carmen

I think Milan is much nicer.
Sem sounds so simple, with all respect to kids who are named that.
It's very personal, right? Taste is subjective.
    Greetings, Madelene
