Postponing pregnancy due to lack of space?

Pffff, choices, choices... my entire house has been screaming for this for a year now. I want to get pregnant with a second one. For our first pregnancy, we were both convinced we only wanted one child. But even during my pregnancy, I realized I wouldn't want to go through that again if we stuck to that choice. After our daughter was born, I felt so good that I thought; I could somehow give the same amount of love to 20 more children! So the desire for a second came quickly. But... a house with only 2 bedrooms. And then what? Put the house on the market, but we know how it goes these days; we've been listed for almost a year. Delay the pregnancy or have the little one sleep in our room (quite spacious) and maybe section it off a bit with IKEA sliding curtains or divide our bedroom into two mini-rooms where everything a child needs fits but there's little play space left. What would you do? I'd love to hear your opinions!

    Hi Minous,

I'd always follow my heart. Where one child can grow up, two can too. Lots of families have two kids in one room!

And they'll play together anyway during the first few years!

Best wishes and good luck with your choice.

Turn your room into 2 rooms and just follow your heart. The most important thing children need isn't given with a private bedroom, but with warmth and love. Providing your children with a safe and warm nest is much more important.

    I agree with the above.
It might not be ideal that she doesn't have her own room, but there's no way to solve it with sliding panels etc. When he/she gets older, they can always share a room.
And having your own room isn't the first thing a child needs; it's food, clothes, and especially love!!
Indeed, follow your heart and it will often sort itself out!!
