Hi there,

My partner and I are keen to have kids. We haven't been actively trying yet though. I'm now 6 days late. I took a test on day 4 and it was negative. I took another one this morning (day 6) and it was negative again.

I also went to the GP today, and she said I should just wait and come back if I haven't gotten my period after 2 months. I think that's a bit extreme. I'm starting to feel a bit unsure because I'm 6 days late but the test is still negative. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?

    Not sure if your body still needs to shed the pills? Maybe that's why you haven't had a period (yet)... As hard as it may be, wait a little longer... Maybe your cycle is naturally longer...

    Thanks for your reply.
    But since last October, I haven't been on the pill anymore.
    So that's already been half a year now.
    All this time, I've gotten my period right on time.
    Now, for the first time, I'm overdue and it's been 6 days already.

    Hi, sometimes when you really want something, your body does weird things. I really hope you're pregnant. It's totally possible. It could also be that your cycle is a bit longer this time. I'd say try again in a few days. Then you'll know for sure.

    Thanks for your reply!
    But as I already said in my first post:
    we're not specifically doing anything about it.
    So don't assume I'm overdue because we'd be doing too much about it. That's absolutely not the case here.
    I also get nauseous regularly in the mornings and in the evenings after dinner. Otherwise, I have no complaints..

    Hi, same problem here..
    I was supposed to get my period on Thursday.. a 29-day cycle.. but like before, the period hasn't come yet. Today it's day 33.. 5 days late.
    The pregnancy test is negative, no symptoms, and no feeling that my period is coming.
    Just waiting and waiting.

    Hi!

    I'm almost 2 weeks overdue and the urine tests keep coming back negative. I went to the hospital this morning to get a blood test. My mom had exactly the same thing when she was pregnant with me; she couldn't test positive with urine tests either.

    Last July, after taking the pill for 9 years, I finally stopped. From the start, I had nice cycles; the longest one was about 32 days. I stopped because my body just didn't want the pill anymore. I started getting some complaints, and when I stopped, they disappeared like snow in the sun. In January, I started again, but that same month, the complaints came back. I stopped again and got a nice 29-day cycle. My last period was on March 7th, and as of today, no period in sight. However, on day 20, I had some brown discharge, which could indicate implantation. Since then, I've been having bouts of nausea, fatigue, emotional ups and downs, irritability, and feeling sick from certain foods like eggs. I'm curious what the blood test will show, but it's getting frustrating. Does anyone else have similar experiences or know about this? Thanks in advance!!

    I'm now 1 day overdue, hoping it finally worked this time. I can't wait to finally feel the little one moving in my belly. Such a lovely thought. I'll take a test on Monday if I still haven't gotten my period.

    I hope you get an answer soon whether you're pregnant or not; it's not nice to be in limbo for so long.

    If you look at the date of the previous post, you'll see that she's already replied long ago. The last post is probably from April 16th last year.
