We want a short, tough name that you can shorten. It's kind of an old-fashioned name... Won't he get teased for it later on?

I wouldn't worry too much about him being teased because it's an old-fashioned name... There are plenty of other old-fashioned names, right?
If kids want to tease, they'll find something anywhere... -

My oldest is called Luciano. I never hear that name anywhere!! And it's often shortened to Luc.
