When was the baby conceived?

Just a quick question.

To keep it as short as possible:
On May 13, 2014, the midwife calculated that I was 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
My menstrual cycle was very irregular and I didn't track it.
Because I read something about subtracting 2 weeks since you're not "really" pregnant yet, I'm worried about when the baby was actually conceived.
Who can tell me accurately?
Thanks in advance.

Why are you worried about that?

You do get 2 weeks free because 40 weeks equals 9 months, which is easier to calculate. But a fertilized egg can sometimes take a week to implant. So you're actually a week less along than you thought. It's never exactly clear when conception happened. Also, sperm can live for up to 5 days.

I didn't have a steady relationship and I'm worried that the guy I thought was the father might not be the father after reading this. If I count back 10 weeks and 2 days from that date, it falls exactly on the weekend I had sex with him. But if I subtract 2 weeks, it doesn't. That's why I'm freaking out so much

If you haven't had sex with him since then, he's definitely not the father in my opinion. You should count back 8 weeks and see who you had sex with then; that's the likely father. How many options do you have?

Thanks for your info. I just got the info from the midwife too, and now I know more ????
